Andreja Pejić

Elle Serbia January 2013

We’ll admit: we had no idea ELLE Serbia existed until we received a tip about the mag’s latest cover featuring the one and only Andrej Pejic. The androgynous model is the first male to cover the magazine, and we’ve gotta say: he was the right choice.
On the cover, Pejic wears a black wig and head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier. Apparently the designer sent clothes for the shoot immediately after hearing of the concept — no surprise there, given the fact that the two have become besties these past few years. Inside the issue, Pejic does double duty for photog Dusan Reljin as a male (in more JPG) and female (in La Perla and Agent Provocateur) in a bondage-inspired shoot.
Take a look:

What you're spotting is called Photoshop... Jesus, they really need to stop making him drag at least for a few seasons, at least it would be fresh.

but this may be his life choice so we should prbably respect it. It might not be anyone making him do anything, you know what I mean? Im happy to see work at least. He's been off the radar for quite some time.

This lack of work might be indeed because he feels he is too good for runway work, which is absurd. It seems like he may have developed quite the ego.
One of his friends just tweeted something about how Andrej Pejic walked into a place and complained that everyone was "ugly". Someone needs to get over themselves. Anyone hear anything about Paris Fashion Week?

I think he actually looks hot on the Style Men cover, manly hot. Great to see his muscles :)

So what’s it like working with Andrej Pejic, our cover model? Gerald Tan, Style: Men Writer and Fashion Stylist who interviewed Andrej had this share:

Andrej has a mischievous side to him which people don't normally get to see. For example, there are many versions to the story of how he started modelling. Was he discovered behind the counters at McDonald's or when he was cleaning the toilets at a strip club? Andrej never really confirmed it, and in some ways it was to amuse himself and keep an air of mystery around him.

“You know how the top girls had these kinds of stories for themselves? I thought I'd also have one like that,” he says. “They said Giselle Bundchen was discovered in a cornfield, which was ridiculous because she wasn't.”
