Anna Karina, we like all the same people!! I like her style a lot and I think her paintings are really interesting. A friend of mine in NYC sees her from time to time and always has nice things to say about her.

I had this on saved on my computer, I think it's from the NY Times. Can't wait to see more pics of her...

I wonder how much her paintings go for? She seems to be making a lot a money to always be dressed so nice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say her paintings are bad, I actually love them. But does she do anything other than paint?

I love her style, a little bit gypsey some times, very chic.

her paintings or gorgeous

I've always gotten the impression that she's more of a socialite.
At least, she seems to find her way onto the pages of US Vogue quite often...

same here annak  ^_^

I really love her work, I remember seeing a big article on her in US Vogue a couple of years ago. But something about her makes me dislike her. I think I read something once and ever since have been turned off. Not quite sure why.

B) I do believe that it is possible to be both, mais oui?
Being a socialite doesn't devalue her artwork.

in my book, being a socialite devaluates everything, but its personal to me i guess purple.. and Ann is certainly not a socialite.. she has too much substance -and style-to be one  the occasional Vogue picture doesnt mean too much

Wow, I love her artwork... I had never heard of her before - thankyou for opening my eyes

love her style too, it's very classic and newyork-ish, in a way....

I always thought she looked so elegant, she's featured a lot on style.com. Thought she was socialite/artist but never knew she was a former model.
Did a search and found this on Amazon:

Anh Duong is an internationally known model immediately recognized for her regal, exotic looks. French born, she moved to New York in 1989 to pursue painting and acting but quickly became extraordinarily successful as a model, featured in high-profile campaigns for designers such as Donna Karan, Calvin Klein and John Galliano. After working as a model for more than a decade, painting is once again in the forefront of Duong's life. She has exhibited in galleries around the world; a recent showing in Paris created a sensation, selling out within weeks. In the spirit of Egon Schiele, her paintings are daring, erotic and intimate. This book juxtaposes slick fashion shots with Duong's own perception of herself. Her revealing and deeply personal paintings contrast the cool, stunning photographs taken by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Steven Meisel, Peter Lindberg and Michel Comte among other. With elegant images, as well as fun quotes from Diane Von Furstenberg, Isabella Rossellini and Bob Colacello among others, (Self) Portraits is a hypnotic exploration of art and fashion.

Love her in those Gaultier gowns. Her name seems very vietnamese or cambodian for someone from france, is she mixed perhaps?
