Anh Duong

she is always so gorgeous and poised. is it just me or does she just tower over everyone else she's pictured with?

she's very tall and not afraid of high heels...so she does in fact tower over most... ^_^

Umm it's kind of weird for me to look at her, because my dad looks like the male version of her. Like totally. He's French and Vietnamese though. I wished he dressed up to par with her though! I don't find her particularily naturally pretty, she's just so damn groomed that you have appreciate it.

Oh and that guy she's with is totally hot! I hope someone know who he is.

she's so amazing

oh, luxmode this is great...! i saw the atelier pictures you posted above a few months ago...and then i couldn´t find them anymore! thanks for sharing!!!

hm never knew she was an artist either...whether she is first an artist then a socialite i don't know, but i'm sure being a socialite doesn't hurt her exposure as an artist :innocent:
i hesitate to take a liking to someone or thinking they're beautiful just because they're 'exotic"...

ohoh, wise words!! it just reminds me of the 'kahlo' fascination in europe.

I agree....I think a lot of women are willing to call her beautiful just because her looks are not threatening to them- meaning she is not the kind of woman guys would think is hot

^ Hmm...I'm not so sure about that. I imagine many men find her attractive. I think she's stunning and it's certainly not because she's "exotic"... Funny...

the term exotic is ambivalent any way. she is only exotic if your speaking from a wasp-viewpoint or something like that...
and then of course we often feel drawn to a beauty that differs from our own culture´s but i don´t see anything wrong with it as long as it is not in a patronizing way.
thank you for the pictures, luxmode!
i can´t find the ones i was thinking of in my archive..i´m coming from my attic right now spiderweb-covered and without anh duong but some roversi pictures i will scan later:heart:

She can look very beautiful, but often I think she looks awkward or downright ugly. Just my opinion!

I don't see anything remarkable about her sense of style and I have always found something about her to be very off-putting.

Sorry I'm such a negative nancy!

I find her to be very handsome and striking. She has strong features like Cate Blanchett.

I think she's damn sexy. I liked her art before I knew anything about who she was (she's in Vogue like every other month it seems) so I guess I can understand how some people that don't like socialites and saw that aspect of her first and ran with it. I find her to be incredibly talented, and beautiful too. There was an article about 'Jolie Laide' women a while back, and she was one of them. She's got a cameo in My Best Friend's Wedding for about half a second too, at Rupert Everett's dinner party. I love her!

When I look at her its surprising because she's not objectively beautiful or anything, but I can't help but stare..

My first post here, hi! I find her staggeringly beautiful - like an ancient Egyptian priestess. She reminds me also of my very fashionable aunts who go to church in clouds of perfume and "done" hair. Very old-school glamour.

Here's a favorite from Christian Lacroix A/W 1987
