i think it depends on the shape of the boot..for instance mcqueen manages to make his look like a second skin almost..with the correct angles..and some of those other ones i think could be very unflattering and stumpy and heavy.

I'm so excited for ankle boots next f/w! They started to come back in vogue this last fall, I think, but it's one of those things that people have to get used to before starting to wear. I suspect that not this fall, but the next, they will be a huge trend again.

Yeah they look good on skinny long legs. I just bought these Givenchy ankle boots a few months ago but don't know what to wear them with.

What would you wear your ankle boots with? I'm thinking about wearing them with a 3/4 leangth coat or maybe over some skinny jeans.

I've got the same problem EllaH. I just bought green suede ones (no heel) but sometimes I feel like an Elf..

What would you guys suggest I canwear them with?

i'd wear them with opaque tights (black or colour) with a tight (or full) over-the-knee-skirt, they also look good with long skirts/dresses, they are very versatile

in green they must look great with dark tight(-ish) jeans
my only problem is that jeans is the 'easy' option.. so i find it hard to wear
jeans with high heel ankle boots

as a shape i love the Dell'Acqua's but i hate the decoration noise.. if only they were minimal, they would be just perfect..

If you're not tall I'd suggest you don't wear complicated prints, just something simple, otherwise it'll make you look shorter. Something skinny-fitting. At Alessandro Dell'Acqua they were wearing tights with ankle boots, it was actually quite cute.

ellah i always loved those miu mius you posted...i like the shape of the peter som w/ the ribbon is cute..but not the shiny leather. and the yohji ones are cute and practical.
