Ann Demeulemeester Riding Boots

I must say that I do love riding boots, but I don't quite get why people would get a pair of riding boots from a fashion brand, Hermes is the exception, but still would you go riding in a 1k$ pair of boots?

Yes, I would. I've been riding since before I could walk, and my boots easily went over $1,000. They're gorgeous and the leather is amazing, though.

I know we have a couple people on the boards who ride, and while I like the trend, I find these fashion riding boots a bit silly. Real riding boots come up to the back of your knee, and are tight as hell when you first get them (they're supposed to be, its not like I have fat legs :p )

These are real riding boots.

What's wrong with Ann Demeulemeester riding boots? It's not like it's Versace starting a new trend...

Those boots really are nice. I have been riding all my life, my mum used to carry me on her horse when I was tiny. I don't think I have ever spent that much on a pair of riding boots. I can really see the merit of paying so much, it's not going to be found to be "demode" next season etc. I still have not bought in to the whole fashion craze of riding boots simply for fashion, although I must say that I do love boots on the runway (see Galliano Homme), Yea right you don't have fat legs! lol  :p

I don't think there is anything wrong with AnnD riding boots, great fashion statement, it just is so contrived and that is where fault can be found :-)

Angelina Jolie's riding boots look a lot like the Ann Dem riding boots...

^ i believe angelina's are the hermès ones from fall 2004, with the kelly lock at the top ...

no problem axel..... i love those boots!! i still want a pair for myself... :crush:

So I was thinking of getting a pair. Any advice, feedback?

I guess it's a model that is re-issued every season. They are sold out in my size pretty much everywhere I looked but I WANT them.

^^Those are nice. I've been riding my whole life too, and it's time for me to get a new pair of genuine boots. I was getting off my horse a month ago and the entire sole from the toe to the ball of my foot came undone from the stitching.

My boots generally are $700, the english riding style. If I was to buy a designer pair I would never wear them riding!

aby, I have those, they run very large (like most demeulemeester boots do). I have a size 36 and Im usually a 36.5/37. would Bon Marché have any left?

since they are re-issued you'll find a pair, but jump on them when you do.

So funny! I just came home from the Bon Marché and sadly no AD riding boots left. I'll keep looking...

ahhhhhhhhh, my favorite store. that was such a treat!

keep an eye on yoox, Im sure they had them about a month ago.

I'm still obsessed with having a pair of these boots after all this time. I wanted them in 05 and I still want them now. I think it'll be one of those items that I'll need.
