Emporio Armani F/W 12.13 by Alasdair McLellan :buzz:

TOKYO TOUR: Giorgio Armani’s fascination with the East continues. Just returned from a grand fashion show event in Beijing, the designer exclusively unveiled his fall Emporio Armani ad campaign to WWD. The images, taken by Alasdair McLellan in Tokyo, show models Anna De Rijk, Tao Okamoto, Paolo Anchisi and Alfred Kovac posing against the city’s nocturnal skyline or brightly lit-up billboards, as the graphic and strong signs of the Japanese characters put the spotlight on a sleeveless, beribboned velvet dress or a softly draped cape.

I'm so happy for her, especially that the ad looks really stunning.

I like much this ed , she looks so gorgeous with this military style ! Well, I approve it ! :P

The editorial from Jalouse is much more inspired (and inspiring) than the cover and story from Vogue Netherlands, no matter if we're talking about styling or Anna's performance. The spread from Lula is pretty nice as well, completely different atmosphere and light but she seems to work out almost everything she tries (minus this last Vogue gig, but I bet neither the photographer nor the model can be blamed for the mediocre results, the concept and ideas behind simply fall flat and would have failed anyway). Definitely one of the most talented models of her times when it comes to print work.

LOL Penny... I can't say I agree! I find the Vogue Netherlands editorial to be very clever and clear in its themes... the last shot of Anna is fantastic. I swear some people intend to slag things off no matter what the actual result is (thinking of the VN thread and their unreasonable responses, not you particularly...). Surely we don't need to act as though that editorial is pure tripe when opinions obviously can and do differ.:flower:

Fortunately we don't all agree on everything all the time, otherwise forums like ours would have no reason to live! As I often write it here and there, it's all really subjective and connected to personal tastes. In this particular case, I'm quite fond of Anna's work as a model and I do like Marc de Groot's photography so, I feel a bit disappointed this editorial doesn't meet my expectations but I acknowledge this is my opinion and others may differ. Also, I might be slightly biased when it comes to anything from Vogue Netherlands, with all the talents they have over there, I think the magazine could be a little stronger. Vogue Turkey, for me, is doing much better lately among the new Vogues and the new Flair from Italy is proposing something quite appealing (and I'm not even going to name some alternative publications, it would go a little far off-topic). Of course, we could leave more time to Vogue Netherlands to find its own identity but, so far, I don't see them taking a very thrilling route. Once again, that's how I personally perceive it and some others might be extremely happy with this magazine.
