Anna Nicole For Peta

Ick, i hate her so much, and i hate peta.

I respect peoples opinions on what they think is right as long as they respect other peoples, and thats something peta don't seem to do.

I agree. I think there are more important things to worry about in the world now than what people are wearing or eating . Sometimes I feel like starting an anti-vegetarian, pro-fur organization and giving them a taste of their own medicine.

im vegetarian and anti fur but i think peta can do better than using celebrities (especially anna nicole  ) to inform people about them...

 I don't really agree but I find that funny :flower:

I think the treatment of animals is an important issue, but to me it doesn't seem nearly as important as issues like poverty reduction, AIDS awareness, famine relief, the promotion & preservation of basic human rights, etc.
I just feel like those issues should be resolved before we move onto issues like the fur trade and meat consumption. I don't know, maybe that's just me :innocent:

I agree, Tiffany. But I think environmental issues are almost right up there in importance. So it doesn't seem too silly to me to be dealing with this stuff right now, too.

i agree :flower:

also, just because one may percieve this issue as a small problem doesn't mean it should be ignored. This can apply to many issues. These problems, no matter how big or small, still affect us and/or our surroundings. Perhaps, for example, everyone decided they wanted to help the most poverty stricken people around the world, but paid no attention to the poverty happeniing locally, in their own city/state/nation. Should this seemingly smaller problem be ignored? Yes, the children in Ethiopia will be fed, but what about the kid next door? I'm not saying that we must strive to be Mother Teresa, but the smaller issues are still important... and may play a role in an overall larger issue.

and now i'm done ranting.

Oh yeah, Anna Nicole disgusts me, and visually the ad disgusts me, but I do agree with the issue. Fur is not for me.

that is true - but I feel like Peta often goes about its business in a rather odd way. I don't condone the fur trade and I can understand the reasons behind vegetarianism, but honestly they don't often seem to respect others when putting forward their views - and that's hardly a way to promote their ideals.

Anna Nicole is quite barf.
I do respect PETA though, for what they stand for. I'm completely vegan and the idea of wearing some innocent animal's corpse on myself for no apparent reason is kind of repulsive. More barf in that case. Peta may go about doing things the wrong way but they mean well. Their messages are oftentimes very twisted when represented through the media just like everything else when you run it through the media. Sure, many people put their own rights above other rights, such as a woman protesting for women's rights and African-Americans marching for theres, but you have to understand that animals are being treated as non-living things with feelings and pain receptors. They are being treated like machines, frankly they can't protest to be treated equally, much like how infants and mentally disabled people can't but it doesn't mean others cannot speak up for them when they see atrocities involved.

Just look up "factory farm gallery" or whatever.

Oh, also, in response to that Holocaust comment. The book "Eternal Treblinka" is all about the comparison of the factory farm to the Holocaust and it was written by a Holocaust survivor. That is where Peta got that idea from, that exact book.

What would make them think they just still put two and two in comparison or in the least bit for that matter? I don't get it :innocent:

No wonder she's all for peta... for a while her breasts and *** looked like two pigs fighting under a blanket. ;)

Something about how the Nazis put those innocent victims through tortures that they derived from the factory farm industry, how throughout history there has been a brand on whose lives are superior, that the aristocracy is superior to the poor, that women are inferior to men, and that is why injustice happens and things of that nature. Why don't you check out the book and find out for yourself?
