THAT'S NOT ANNA

The best show-crashing tactic ever or some yet-to-be explained stunt? At Lanvin today, a woman posing as Anna Wintour—fur trench, bob, Chanel sunglasses—was seen strolling into the tent at the Eiffel Tower without an entry ticket, trailed by an in-on-the-plot camera crew. Your helpful Style.com correspondent tried to tell one of the French Lanvin reps outside that this wasn't in fact the Vogue editor in chief who had already previewed the collection. Came the reply: "You don't think I know Anna Wintour? I know how to do my job." The rep then marched off to direct the fake Anna to her seat. Meanwhile, Milla Jovovich—the real one as far as I could tell—was discussing her newborn baby girl and swapping camera-phone pictures with W's Alex White. The conversation quickly turned to fashion, in this case baby clothes, and an important mothering question was quickly answered. At what age will their daughters start wearing heels? "Six!" they replied in unison.

yes that's clearly not her but maybe in motion if you couldn't see her face quite as full on it would be less obvious. If you hadn't thought it could happen I probably wouldn't doubt it.....

Snejana made a much more convincing Anna, and she's like a quarter of her age.

I read on ontd a while back that it was Madame Agnes? I think she's a french tv personality...it was for her show in france...i don't know anything about her though

Left, Agnès Boulard as Anna Wintour at the Lanvin show. Right, the real Agnès Boulard. (Photos: Jean-Luce Huré for The New York Times)

Agnes Boulard, known as Mademoiselle Agnes on a popular French television series about fashion, did not get home until 7 o’clock on Sunday morning. She had been out dancing. By the time of the Lanvin show, she was remarkably changed—as Anna Wintour. Lots of people in the moments before the show assumed that Mlle Agnes was Madame Wintour. She had on a fur coat and dark glasses and looked ready for the models to get moving. The give-away was that the figure in the front row did not have a posse of Vogue editors around her. “It’s hard being Anna,” Boulard said, lowering her shades. (I just didn’t believe it was her.) She and her Canal+ collaborator Loic Prigent, who made that great documentary about Marc Jacobs, do an irreverent segment called “Signe Anna,” or signed Anna, for their show.

That wig is pretty awful ... probably the most dead giveaway to me.

lol yeah I saw it on dlisted...its not her. I I thought it was just a joke

food for thought:
if you could pose as the Wintour for one day, what would you do? Where would you go? What would you say?
