Some of them are sweet. Sometimes this whole thing bugs me though.
I don´t mean to sound harsh but i totally dislike those Anne Gedded pictures.
Some years ago a friend showed me her book and i instantly disliked it, although i am crazy about babies!
These pics seem to me a bit like she uses the babies as toys, like they are not real or something. The rats in the boots picture is as odd as it can be.
The premmatures baby in the mans hands is rather odd too.
Maybe it´s also the objects she chooses to insert the babies, like the wooden bowl. The babies and the cherries inside the bowl look as though they are about to be eaten...
And the sleeping babies sometimes remind me of stillborns

Remember the Friends when Joey thought Anne Geddes was the baby in the picture- a very famous baby...
Anyway, I am not a fan...
aside from the fact I find alot of the pics creepy I think of her like Thomas Kinkade....
mass produced "art" for the same of making alot of cash.

i've never liked anne geddes either maybe for similar reasons as sofialuv...
i, too, feel that she 'uses' the babies or rather the idea people have of babies and within doing so she denies their individuality...
just like some people like to portray animals, as if they were staffage to sweeten our lives ...
in my opinion she pretends to portray the mystery of life while she actually never touches it.

She does use the babies as object which I do not like but the pictures are nice... but not fashion imo 
I agree with Estella and Sofialuv...I find them disturbing.
It's the same concept as people being displayed at freak shows. Extra tall people being shown off next to extra short people...making them do ridiculous things...black women being made to dance around in nothing but bananas...it's very sad.
Especially throwing them in the bowl with the cherries is highly disturbing...

I find them a bit disturbing too... some of the babies are put in such uncomfortable positions!

Agree with what people have said about her using the babies as objects.I couldn't point out what was so creepy about the photos before.
i think she and her photographs are disgusting...babies are great i guess, but i just cant stand these photos...she reminds me of that guy that dresses his dogs up and takes photos of them and publishes a thousand books of dogs dressed up...but whatever, if i could make money taking pictures of dogs and babies i guess i would.
Many of your comments sum up my feelings. I'm not great fan of babies anyway, but her photos push all of the wrong buttons with me. It's the forced preciousness. If Geddes hadn't shot them, I wouldn't mind the overtly creepy ones. I'd like the babies in cherry bowl one. The ones with the lilly pads and flower pots sum up everything I dislike about her. They're the sort of thing that people I'd never want to meet would find "cute". If the pits of hell are personalized, my corner would be wallpapered with photos like that.
On a side note, one of my mother's friends once gave her a box of Geddes greeting cards. It's FULL of the smiling baby shots. Any check that she mailed during college was intentionally sent in one. She figured it was the price I'd have to pay to remain financially solvent.
