Anne Klein like Perry Ellis is cursed with a revolving door with regards to designers so I wouldn't expect to much from them regardless of the quality of the collection.

Playful, sophisticated and advanced without resorting to splitting something up the side seam or showing underwear to prove you're wearing them...

there is great use of draping and... some interesting use of fabrics.....but that is the only thing i have to say about this mishmash collection

thanks for posting the collection, seanut. definitely one of the highlights of NY. She managed to make a perfect fusion of the label and her own trademark and represent the NY spirit at its best with such practical garments made of far from common shapes and materials, and those drawings in the dresses!, they look so fragile but very wearable and modern at the same time.. I love it.

I didn't google her.. she's just been around for years under Isabel. isn't Isobel a Bjork song only?. I didn't think it'd exist, anyway. can't pray for spelling being an ESL-er myself.

Isobel may be a British spelling ... there's a character in a Rosamunde Pilcher novel named Isobel at any rate I stopped to wonder & then though oh hell who cares about spelling here?!?!

i think that when it comes to the actual names of the designers...
it is always a concern and always has been to get it right...



that said...
i like her second collection for the anne klein label...
though i still miss the old anne klein that was designed by donna karan and louis dell'olio...

whatever happened to louis dell'olio?......

getting rid of him was the beginning of the curse that bidwell alluded to...
it's never been the same since...
*bad karma*...



i am sure the quality will be good and the prices will be high ta-ta...

what i really hope is that they translate this well into the anne klein II label...
that used to be an incredible bridge career collection...
i think that was always where they made their $$$...
they also did fantastic costume jewelry and accessories...
i hope they are smart enough to revive this along with the main line..
