Antonella Graef

^ What happened? Well, I'd say the major shows are still approaching (Givenchy, Chanel, Miu Miu, Vuitton...) so there's no need to be worried right away ^_^
And with a total show-count of 30 shows so far, Antonella has already done rather well. I'm sure we just have to be patient and some blue-chip appearances will come :)

^ Well, there we go with the awaited blue-chipe appearances. I knew she'd be there again ^_^

Not that it's unexpected, but I'm so happy again! She's an incredibly Givenchy girl and wow, she pulls of all the Givenchy stylings! :o:heart:

I agree. Her Paris showlist is a big disappointment. :(

she kind of went downhill after NY :(

I don't think she went downhill. Like I've expressed on other threads, there has been such different casting with the inclusion of supermodels (Lily Cole, Karolina Kurkova, Kristen McMenamy, etc), established models (Coco Rocha, etc) and VS models (Alessandra Ambrossio, Miranda Kerr, etc), leaving the slots for new girls to be very selective. That's all.

I really don't think her season was that bad. Of course, it's pretty obvious for everyone that Antonella did better in NY than she did @ the Europe shows. But still, I think she made the right appearances and besides that: looked stunning and absolutely mesmerizing (she really won me over this season :heart:) in every single show she did.

Moreover, as ax80 said: the casting in Europe this season has been very
selective indeed.

^ I agree she did a pretty great season, with lots of big and quality shows... so for me that's a great season she achieves!
And she was at Givenchy again :) perfection.

Well, it really doesn't went downhill, but I was exspecing more for a girl who did so good in NY and was a Givenchy exclusive several times...
And I thought she would be a Prada girl..

^ exactly...she did 4 shows in Paris, of which Givenchy was probably already a safe bet. And Pedro Lourenco and Costume National aren't really major shows to do...

in Milan she did a lot of more commercial shows instead of the big names, so how can you call that selective...just my opinion of course

I was too a bit disappointed with her jobs in Milan and Paris, NYC was good but I feel like she probably lucked out on the fact that when it comes to trends, NYC tends to be one or two seasons behind and Antonella's look, after seeing the tendencies in Milan and Paris, is the kind that was a total gold mine exactly when Givenchy took her up in all her ghostly glory but at this point, Milan and Paris are already after something else, I mean, Prada and even Chanel.. if it isn't the 'womanly'/cheerleader type of beauty, it then goes back to something a little harsher and intellectual-looking (Carla, Julia..), it's like it's 2001 all over again. I'm thinking they're going to have to bring her eyebrows and natural hair color back, cause unless you're established like Lara or Hanne, that look is kind of peeking out from the rear-mirror already.
Just a thought.
