hi,;) i m new here and i m thinking of applying to FIT's handbag design program
did anyone graduate from there that can give me some suggestion? i realy wanna no more about the program to make sure its wut i want~

i m into fashion and handbag design and wondering :can i do double major?
since parson's doesn't offer hangbag design program so its out of my consideration ~
btw,how big is the chance to get into that program? is it hard?

or there s beta scl than FIT??

thanks,

I'm in the accessories design program at FIT.. graduating this may with a BFA in accessories design. ;)

I'm pretty sure you can't do a double major... FIT isn't like most colleges.

The program is becoming very hard to get into... the BFA program is getting very popular.. most classes are overscheduled.

thanx Luna, i m so happy to finally hear from you!!!!

cus right now i m thinking of Fashion Design ***, tho i really dun get the diff btw *** and BAF,other than the degree diff...do u actually learn more techniques in the 5th-8th sememster?... if i major in FD, m i gonna be able to take a few classes from the accessories department? :o

the other thing is ..i m in art scl right now, 2nd yr general fine arts, is it better to apply to the one yr program or the two yr one(***)?

thank you sooo much for ur time!!:woot: :woot: :woot:

I was kinda in the same situation. I was in fine arts.. graduated from that with my AAS in fine arts.. and went on to the one year program for the AAS Accessories program... then moved on to the BFA for the same.

I think you learn a lot from the BFA program... it goes into more depth in classes... internship stuff.... etc.

If you are graduating from a fine arts program with an AAS.. you can probably apply for the one year. You should contact FIT and ask about all of the specifics.

is there a graduate program?

i'm graduating from UK with a BFA in art studio in may and i've been trying to find graduate schools in something other than studio art, but along the same lines.
