Arena HOMME+ Spring/Autumn 2017

"Most men's glossy magazines are truly formulaic and just look like what Arena Homme+ has already done far better."
Seen the new Man About Town cover?

Anyone got a list of contents for this new Arena Homme+ ?

i have the issue. The Alasdair mclellan portfolio alone is worth it imo.

as per the magazine "it's presented as 22 projects with 7 interludes"

here's some crap iphone snaps of the contents, this is REALLY huge and impossible to scan

and all the covers:

I have all the AH+ issues under Fabian Baron...it used to be sooooo amazing..

Now

^ I agree. Browsing the older issues that I have makes me sad that this mag has now become try-hard and obnoxious.

I flicked through this fully, it was soo snoreee....

Can someone please post a few snaps for the Kristen McMenamy and Ivory Braka story ? How is that spread ? Thank you

Agreed Mistress F! This is Alasdair at the very top of his game!!!

I found a Morrissey "If you think peace if a common goal..." cover downtown yesterday. Third store lucky.....

This issue is a MONSTER. How anyone can say it's boring is beyond me. 10/10!

I bought it today. It's crap. I should give this 6.50£ for that homeless next to the newsagent. I feel so bad.
There are these random editorials about artsy people in it for 200+ pages for no reason what so ever. The magazine weights a ton thanks for these uninteresting photos. 15+ pages about discolights on stage, 30+ pages about an old man eating raspberrys - making photograps - tuning an old tv - laying on the couch.
There are fashion editorials of course, but something is missing from them.
The slogan of mag is "All Killer No filler". Well Mr. Editor-at-Large, it's full of fillers. Liar.

This magazine used to be superb.

F™CK YOU ASHLEY HEATH!

Is this a fashion editorial or an actual article about stage lighting? I would totally be into the article.

It's pretty straight documentation of light design within a concrete bunker space by Wolfgang Tillmans. It's one of my favourite things in the magazine as it happens.

Tbh I'm not sure those bemoaning the lack of fashion in Arena Homme+ have really bought this issue and engaged - there's very focused, dedicated fashion shoots on Berluti (by Haider Ackermann), Valentino, Ermenegildo Zegna, Louis Vuitton and Dior. There's very good, extensive interviews with Pierpaolo Piccioli and Alessandro Sartori.

I count 9 fashion mixed credit stories by Harley Weir, Tina Barney, Alasdair McLellan, Buck Ellison, Mark Peckmezian, Ewen Spencer, Oliver Hadlee-Pearch and Blommers & Schumm (2 by Harley Weir).....

I'd say there's more fashion in this issue than ever before.

Sure there's also a lot of Tillmans/Teller and LOTS MCLELLAN :P and the tone is all very ART..... But no complaints from me

I would really like to read that specific article. Thank you for the insight!

The 'screen static' cover by Wolfgang Tillmans has gone on show in a vitrine at the Foundation Beyeler in Basel. As have other pages of this new issue.....

It looks really good on social media. They use the actual magazine. I've said before that I think this is a really interesting new crossover for cutting-edge magazine culture  :cool2:
