Ariel Meredith, 24, was discovered at age 14, but did not pursue modeling full time until she had completed her education. A Shreveport, LA., native, Ariel is currently featured in a Dolce and Gabana campaign, has posed for V Magazine, French Magazine, H&M and Gap. This is Ariel's first appearance in the Swimsuit Issue.

What was your reaction to getting into the Swimsuit Issue? I was speechless. Being in the swimsuit edition has been a dream of mine. I have always followed all the girls in the issues and now it's an honor to be one of them.
In all honesty, is modeling really that hard? Yes! The schedule is extremely demanding. I have to be prepared to fly all over the world at a moment's notice; the hours can be quite long as well. But of course, it is worth every minute.
At what point in your career do you know you've made it? I know I've made it when I see myself on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Happiness is... Happiness is being surrounded by family and friends and people who love you.
If you could change one thing in the past year, what would it be? I wouldn't change one thing. This last year was one of the most exciting years of my life. I have worked with amazing photographers and walked for the runways for my favorite designers.
What makes you feel sexy? Being comfortable in a tank top and jeans, but I also like to get all dressed up for a special occasion.
Who is your dream guy? Hmm, let me think about that one and get back to you.
Do real guys have a shot? With my busy schedule, who knows?
How much attention do you pay to nutrition and exercise, or is it all natural? Of course I like to eat healthy and workout, it just makes me feel good. You can also catch me boxing or doing yoga on my days off.
If you had to play matchmaker for a day, what celebrities would you pair up? That's tough, I'm not sure.
What meal do you miss from home? Gumbo, I'm a Louisiana girl!
Every girl has her dating checklist. What are your top three deal breakers when dating? I don't have a checklist. I just look for a great personal connection.
What is your most memorable first? My most memorable first was walking my first runway during my first show season in New York fashion week.
People have said I look like... I haven't heard any. I think I just look like myself.
The world's hottest athlete is... I'm not sure about that one.
