AussieBum is an Australian men's swimwear manufacturer. In recent years aussieBum has also increased its product line to include underwear and clothing. The company is seen as having a large following among fashion-influential metrosexual and gay consumers.

In 2001, director Sean Ashby started aussieBum when he couldn’t find the style of swimwear he grew up with. The company had an inauspicious launch in the middle of the dot-com bust, and at the time the original website ran from a suburban lounge room, created by Ashby with bootleg web software. Joined by co-director Guyon Holland, they created a new market by bringing back the classic speedo-style Aussie cossie and introducing digital prints and other vibrant designs. Since starting out with only AU$20,000, aussieBum is now a multi-million dollar global enterprise, employing over 30 people, manufacturing over 150 different styles of products.

All aussieBum products are manufactured in Australia with the business run completely out of the company's headquarters in the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt. The brand is sold in some of the biggest department stores in the world such as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in London, Printemps in France and KaDeWe in Germany, and is distributed to more than 70 countries via their online e-store.

The company is known for its highly creative products, such as Essence underwear; which contains vitamins locked in the fibre which releases through the skin, and the Wonderjock; underwear designed to enhance the appearance of men's assets, causing quite a stir from news broadcasters around the world.

The company has no sales representatives overseas but relies on the strength of the company website. Australian sales make up only 10% of its business, and is on its way to AU$20 million in annual sales.

So people if you like this brand ir want to see the whole products go to http://www.aussiebum.com and buy your favorite

I remember an episode of Janice Dickinson's show where she begged the photographers shooting for aussieBum to use her male model pics.

vitamins via undies? ya serious? unless the vitamins withstand washing, it's pretty much useless.

yeah vitamins! hahaha it sound weird but its true LOL look here is the info about them:

Ginseng briefs:
ESSENCE briefs release Ginseng micro-capsules into the skin. These have energising and regenerating properties to provide maximum comfort. Made from 85% Polyamide and 15% Lycra.

Vitamin C briefs:
Designed with comfort in mind, these ESSENCE briefs release Acerola (containing vitamin C and anti-oxidant) micro-capsules which are released into the skin to provide maximum comfort. Made from 85% Polyamide and 15% Lycra.

and if the vitamins are over you can buy a sachet if vitamin C or ginseng here more info about it: http://www.aussiebum.com/en/underwear/index.php?modelid=91

i actually really like those red swimtrunks... though i don't know if it's a style of swimwear that really can pass here in the ole USofA. perhaps if i were on vacation somewhere a little more liberal in that regard (*europe, brazil, thailand, etc*)

Please do not not post sexually suggestive photographs.

...

how were some of those pictures more sexually suggestive than some of the Agent Provocateur & Victoria's Secret ad pictures? or the nude photos in the photographer sections? or any other underwear ad in the Ad section? it wasn't like the guys were fooling around with one another in some indecent way.

please don't discriminate like that :flower:

Please do not not post sexually suggestive photographs.

I'm wondering about this as well, as the ads section is chalk full of these kind of images...not to mention Tom Ford's thread here in the Designers and Collections forum.

yeah hanne could there be a way of showing us what NOT to post in this thread?!?! I dont want it to be suspended again! LOL

now that you mention it.....

the Tom Ford ads include p33n and vajayjay and simulated intercourse.... though i can only guess about the intercourse part.

please put the pics back up Hanne :flower:

it's just fair. there are hundreds of pictures of female models in skimpy underwear here and then censoring a bunch of guys in swimming pants just seems unfair.

Good points, and the more I think about it, the more I think I had a brain fart when I removed all of them

I still think the pictures are sexually suggestive, in a rather bland, crude boring soft p*rn kind of way..that remind me of male escort ads just meant to titelate... without an interesting composition etc that characterized say the Tom Ford eye wear campaign picture.

..but that is really irrelevant, since the pictures are not atypical for images in the swin wear category.

I let my esthetic's affect my judgment and for that I'm sorry.

I'll put the pictures back up, with the exception of the close ups of an encased penis, which are gratuitous and sexually explicit. Should you want to see closeups aaron95 provided the link to Aussiebums website in the first post.

This time around please try to avoid comments that appeal to the lowest denominator a la "I don't think my peepee needs ginseng", then I'll be happy to play along as well.
