:heart::flower:

Before the Paris collections ended, I stopped by Azzedine Alaia’s place to see what he was preparing for fall. I found him upstairs in the studio, which consists of many racks of samples and dress patterns, stacks of shoe boxes, ironing boards and, at the far end, near a huge mirror, his ample work table. Alaia offered me a chair next to the table. A number of writers had trooped by over the weekend and we probably all had the same thought: Gee, what a fantastic way to look at clothes.

THANK you for posting. This looks amazing. There is one master and it's him!! Get to see more hopefully.

:heart:

its so gorgeous! hate the zebra shoes but everything else is just stunning. that coat-dress with what i think is a trompe l'oeil lace print and the take on the baroque ruff in that white coat are beautiful pieces.

I think those zebra shoes are great…his shoes are all great!! But where are the King of Cling’s world-renowned stretch minis?

holy **** :shock:

well, it's a fashion show, the really old fashioned way.

i also think it smarter to let people concentrate on the clothes and less on the makeup and hair and all that model talk.

Amazing collection. I also think it would rather astonishing to be able to go into his studio and view the collection this intimately like the press has done.

i love the coat in the first post, second row. i can't tell what the detailing is exactly but it looks beautiful from here.
