i think she balances the design really well, since she's also using sharp edged shapes at the skirt, hips, etc. so it becomes kind of futuristic/robotic or armour-like as a whole instead of a memory of the 80's

I think this is mostly boring actually.. but then I never liked Ann-Sofie Back nor this diffusion line. The colours and how the clothes seem to fit always put me of.

it's more of a 40's shoulder. It's more subtle.

Funny you say that, my first thought on viewing the line was how incredibly wearable it is.

It's not personally my thing, slightly too office worker but I like some of the tops, especially the white no-sleeve top with sharp shoulders.

To me it is exactly the opposite - digging too much in the dreadful 80s. Especially that lateral opening in the skirts.

It is probably not very correct to spaculate on your age, but I guess you're young and don't quite remember how it was back then. Seeing all this stuff is like a deja-vu to me - leggings, showlder pads, high waist, etc. Those were the times when I started being conscious on what I wear, maybe this is why seeing the same things now I can't help but feel awkward about them. I can't say I like it.
