I really, really don't like this. It's disappointing in so many ways. I don't think Jennifer looks good at all (which is a shame, since I think she's attractive), the clothes look a little dull and the whole thing is just off.

I would've loved to see something along the lines of YSL F/W 07; a Balenciaga clad streetwalker type wandering through Paris at night with her lacy bra peeking out. Either that or something really colorful and joyous.

I think that either Jennifer is the only star of this campaign or that Meisel shot a bunch of individual portraits of other actresses as well. I just can't imagine a group shot with many actresses togehter in one shot.

but the concept is what i expected ...

well i have to disagree with you here. Ms Connelly is one of the very few non-model girls out there who in fact deliver something of a model-like presence in fashion pictures. i can hardly think of any other actress-famous-woman to look as photogenic and top-model kind as Jennifer. if not for her age she could make it quite good on Supreme board. well, i'm exaggerating here, but you get the idea.
i wasn't quite a fan of the collection at first, but with this imagery i can see where Mr. Ghesquiere is moving. beautiful work, really.

It looks much better in print, but I still don't like it. Her face is ridiculous.
I have a feeling the way she's lain on a sheet of raw silk on an old sofa and the way she has her extremely-modern shoe on a classic Grecian urn on its side is meant to give off the "modern brand from an old background" [literally] vibe.

I was unhappy with the ads at first, but I'm slowly starting to like it, but the poses could of been different. The clothes and shoes look great.
