The appeal is you don't have to be a model or a stylish celebrity to spray balenciaga perfume on. Charlotte has been one of the many muses that Nicolas chose for the campaign, her very star-studded background and family line, not to mention her natural beauty are what makes Charlotte the ideal choice to represent Balenciaga.

i understand inspiration, i just don't see her appeal. she's just a famous woman and man's daughter. and if you really think fragrance campaigns should reflect the average woman, i don't think a wealthy "fashionista" is any different than a model.

you don't see it doesn't mean she has no appeal to others. to me she's more than Birkin and Gainsbourg's daughter. I love her from the very first sight for her elegance and intelligence, I didn't know she has such a strong background then by the way.

Charlotte is much more than a wealthy fashionista or socialite. She is an honoured actress, musician, and muse to individuals such as Nicholas. He chose her for this campaign because she herself inspired the fragrance. She may not be either a model or the average woman, but to the Balenciaga brand she represents a different kind of beauty, one that inspires and mystifies. Though this may not be the best shot of the bunch, there is something in her expression that clearly shows why Nicholas was drawn in. She is much more than meets the eye.

i love just how passionate nicolas remains about the first outings of the house of balenciaga back into the fragrance arena. can one imagine christopher bailey rhapsodizing in this way over burberry touch? i just love this campaign because it's so personal not only to nicolas and charlotte, but it makes the house feel so intimate and small despite its status as a global fashion house.

I am way more interested in how the fragrance will be second time around. Loved their first one! The campaign is fine, i think she is wonderful, and represents it well.

But seriously ^ he is VERY attractive!

I like the previous Balenciaga ad with Charlotte more than this one....

I don't know what it is with Charlotte...she is not really beautiful, but she has something....something very interesting she looks diffrent from other women.

I am sorry but she is more than just a rich kid. She has amazing personality and music that she is doing is just divine.

I don't think that she is that known in the world, and I love that. She seems like a perfect choose for Balenciaga.

I like Charlotte in this ad a lot (anybody knows who did the makeup?!) but the new version of the fragrance is too strong for me, I actually prefer the original version of the fragrance but its new campaign moves me more than the previous attempt That is why I am sitting here now wrinkling my nose at the smell emanating from my wrist! That is the power of advertising haha!
