i miss when demna's balenciaga was actually fun. I'd say in the past he even got the moschino humour in his balenciaga. And there was a clear seperation between streetwear and formal wear.

But since he went on autopilot and lost all colors it all felt so forced. And became all about streetwear trying to pass as evening wear. And ofcourse it became all about the most "shocking" thing a berghain gay can wear. spoiler alert: they are not that shocking.

it's still actually fun .....i think many people laugh at every collection that comes out :-)

Not sure if it’s just styling that has multiple cheap windbreakers layered over one another, or it’s actually a single coat designed to resemble multiple coats

He did the layered coat thing before for FW18:

They're all pieces that were sold seperately from each other, so one would have to pay upwards of 10k to replicate the runway looks.

In general I defer to the wisdom and expertise of LadyJunon, but the 2018 layered parka was one of the only things from Demna's Balenciaga that I ever investigated out of general interest, and the ones I've encountered on resale channels appeared to be a single garment composed of multiple layers (though even the single garment probably still cost in the neighbourhood of $10K)

The styling of AW 2018 collection was incredible. As much as I despise current Demna, his collections in that time had left a significant mark on the way young people wearing.
