I just bought a pair of silver and a pair of pewter Lanvin flats today! Woooohoooooo!

I got them from eBay so I don't have them here yet. But here's the photo from the auction:

they're gorgeous, thanks!! too similar to the grey pair I already own to justify having them though. damm.

Black patent..

They really are sublime, I know you have contemplated getting them for a while so congrats on your buy. :flower:

Thanks!! My face has been covered by the cheesiest grin all day just thinking about them. Aaaaah.

(Kom tilbake på .nu! :D)

You'll see photos as soon as I get them! Believe me! ^_^

Speaking of Lanvin-pics...

Does anyone here own them in patent Eggplant?
I'd love to see if they're as purple as I want them to be!

If they're like the first photo: I'm in love. But not if they're darker irl like the second photo.
Does anyone know?

I do not own them but it looks like they are darker...the first pic is probably with flash

If they are like the first photo - to die for! The darker is still nice though.

I saw the Bloch flats I posted about last week on www.shopbop.com, in case anyone's interested!

Since I'm waiting for the black patent pair I don't want the eggplant if they're darker because they'd look the same to me even if there is a difference. The same usage, if ya know what I mean? Or am I making up words now? :p

The eggplants only look that bright in certain angles. If the light hits them a certain way they look brighter then they are. Or if you look at them close up, obviously. Tricky things. But, I love them. But, yes if you just glance at them there isn't a big difference between the black and them.

Ah. Thanks, ediewarhol! You reaffirmed what I initially thought. :flower:

Do you have them yourself or have you just seen them?
If you have them, can I ask what kind of outfit do you use them with? Colors?

I do have them myself! I usually have worn them with black or with a lighter purple. As well as grays, whites, dark greens and I wore them with a teal dress once and everyone thought that was super cute. I think you can match them really well with most colors. :flower:

Thanks again! :) You def. gave me something to think about... :shifty:

This is probably the tenth time I've asked this...
But where do they have the best Lanvin flats selection in London?

Does anyone have experience with Capezio ballet flats or jazz shoes? I can't get Repetto here and Lanvin is too expensive for now, maybe later this year. I'm soon going to go to the shop that sells them and see what they're like, but I'd like to know are they any good...the price and look seems right. Though I'm not sure if they even are for outdoor use..

^ for the selling price, capezio is very good, comfy, and great quality. my ballet school uses capezio for daily lessons and repetto for shows because they look a bit more snazzy, so to speak. but i always have loved capezio because they are properly priced and durable. i wouldn't use them on anything other than wood floors, though... like, for walking outside? no way. they will get scotched at the bottom and the edges. actual ballet flats that are made for dancing can't be used to walk on the sidewalk or anything like that.
