Beware the bad quality of London Sole

So I purchased a pair of the gold lowcut ballet flats from London Sole. I wore them twice and after the second time, the right shoe was already showing signs of wear and tear!!! The gold was getting chipped off, there were lines and there were deep scratches in the right shoe.

If that's how their shoes look like after wearing it two times, I wonder what they will look like after 2 months? For $135, I was expecting something more durable! I'm now trying to get a refund/exchange but the SA said they have to examine the shoe to see that the fault is with the manufacturer and not with me. She had the nerve to tell me that the gold was spray painted on so if I bump into walls, cabinets, etc, I will naturally scratch the shoes and subsequently leave markings. Had I known that LS shoes were this sensitive, then I wouldn't have bought them! They're virtually unwearable!!!

This is just a bad, bad experience! Does anyone here have London Soles and can anyone tell me about their quality? I appreciate any inputs. Thanks!

so i finally got the 7.5 chloe flats and they fit perfectly, i guess they run a 1/2 size bigger as apposed to a full size. They are really cute i am in love with them. :O)

That's awful! :o I have a pair of London Soles, but I have only worn them three times so far....two of those times being indoors only. (they're cream satin) I am feeling the same about mine being virtually unwearable because they're so very delicate. Then again...that's what made me fall in love with them. *sigh*

oh no its all my fault .. i recomended that you guys check it out .. unless u heard of them before .. im sorry i had no idea they were crappy make :(

Don't be silly! It isn't your fault. :flower: I had my London Sole flats already...and I do still love them for what they are.

Not your fault at all. :) I'd already heard of them beforehand. I'm hoping to exchange my gold ones with the ponyhair. Maybe it will have a better quality since that one won't be "spray-painted on." I'll keep you guys posted!

is frenchsole the same as london sole? cuz i recently purchased a pair of low cut black french soles and i love them, they're comfortable and classic. to be honest i kinda like slightly beat-up looking ballet flats, a-la-sienna miller. lol.

Good Lord, that's ridiculous!!!!!!! That's not how gold ballets are supposed to be made. I had a pair that I loved and wore to death, I think they were kidskin, and the leather was just as beautiful the day I had to let them go, if not more so, than at the beginning.

What the hell ... reminds me of the time my mother sent me for red carnations, they didn't have any, and they spray-painted white ones this orange red color that has never once occurred in creation--well, on tomatoes or poppies maybe

They are by Chloe.

I wish they were patent leather, then I would have bought them.

no i saw those on ebay they are really cute, but i was talking about the ones just like it but with an ankle tie instead of the t-strap like they have on intermixonline.com. Got them soaking wet today in the rain, i have no luck with these shoes, lol.

Can someone please tell me where I can get these Lanvin flats online beside ebay?
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

I usually wear 37 to 37.5, will size 38 fit me?
Most of my shoes are 37.5, or it will be too big for me?

^ monamoore.com carries Lanvin shoes, and they had those ballet flats in three colors. but alas, they are now sold out. perhaps they'll be getting more in sometime, though? one can hope (and call).
