have any of you seen christian louboutin's "air-loub" travel ballet flats ($320)? they're standard black leather ballerina flats (red-soled as usual), that are foldable so you can easily travel with them. they come packaged in thier own small leather drawstring pouch.

^ Yes I know which ones you mean! I saw them in the Kate Moss issue of Vanity Fair =) They look super comfy, like you could lounge on an airplane in them! I'm actually looking for those

^I just carry warm up leather ballet slippers and put them in a pouch on flights. I get mine from Bloch dancewear. They come in black, peach, pink and white and are bendy.

I also get these elasticated ones withe the cut aways so that I can warm up my feet on the plane....better to see the arch with!

^Yeah...dance stores are overlooked which is surprising since it should be obvious that they are the source of the ballet shoe! And yes, I do love smelling them too!
I wish I could wear my dance ones out, but alas they wouldn't be able to stand up to the tough, gum stuck pavements of London.

Nowadays, it takes a lot of sucking in to get that leotard looking good....ah...the days of the 20 inch waist....*thinks wistfully*

what jeans do you think look best with ballet flats?
I have issues with low cut flats and where the jeans end, looks awkward sometimes imo

^I think ankle length tapered jeans look the best with ballet shoes. So that none of the jeans cover the shoe.

Hi - I have kinda big feet - size 9-1/2 - 10 (and I'm only 5'6-1/2"!). Personally I try to stick with a lower cut ballet flat, as for some reason I feel a big toe part means my feet look bigger. And I wear them with more of a boot cut, rather than a skinny jean (while that's more because my legs can't handle it - but I think a skinny jean would make the foot look bigger too). Just grab an honest friend, try some shoes on and see what they think.

Thanks Luxury, thats a good idea. I'm just going to have to go out with an honest friend and try on a bunch of pairs until i find the perfect one that makes my foot look cute lol. And ya I figure I cant wear them with a skirt or skinny jeans....
