Ballet flats

Does anyone know how the sizing on the Lanvin ballets run? Should I size up or down? Thanks!:flower:

Well, I know they are Italian sizing.
For me, I am usually a US size8, but I took a size 8.5 for my lanvin flats (as I have wide feet :( ).
The leather does stretch a little over time, so if you have narrow feet, you may want to stick to your usual size.

Help! Has anyone seen any ballet flats with a square toe? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Not sure if you would be able to get hold of them but Maloles - http://www.maloles.com has some:

I love the cherry print Ked's in post #695! I ordered them yesterday. If anyone is interested in them, order on Nordstrom's now because they have free shipping.

Hi Princessimp,

This is my first post in tFS and like Shalu, I am dying for a pair of Lanvin ballet flats but unsure of the sizing  . Err, does US 8 correspond to Euro 38?
I am driven to desperation with all this shoe sizing confusion and it doesn't help that there's no Lanvin boutique where I live!

Well, may I share my observation with the Lanvin flats?
I am a size 38.5-39, and usually a 39 with Louboutin normal pumps(not patent) and I have a wide feet. Today, I tried on the Lanvin flats and I had to wear 40 to be completely comfortable. So I recommend sizing up.
I just can not decide on the color though!

Euro 38 is US size 7

I think the US sizing is actually bigger than the European sizing. I normally wear UK sz 6 which is European size 39, but in US sizing I only need US 8.5. If you can get the measurement of the inside length, it would be the most accurate way to get your shoe size right.

I'm looking for the perfect pair of ballet flats. Preferably in black-and-white, also maybe leopard print. Super durable and comfortable, not TOO round a toe (would make me look stubby). Do you guys rec London Sole? French Sole? TIA!

hi girls,

thanks so much for the replies. so i guess lanvin flats are pretty narrow and i have to size up to get the perfect fit.

augustus, i know! if only money grows on trees, i'd get every color they have.

These flats by Irregular Choice at Zappos are so fun!

I've seen a number of flat shoes here in Houston. Either it's those Chinese slippers or these adorable ballet flats. My favorite flats are the flats which look like they have three straps to them. Not the Skechers Sightsee shoes, but something I can't exactly identify right away. Oh yeah, they are VERY practical. Very nice shoes, which seems to provide a better view than most of the ones looking to punk/goth-style footwear, especially among the ladies.

I really want those Chanel ballet flats that look like actual ballet shoes with big chanel signs on each front. Anyone know how much they cost?
