Ballet flats

I was walking around the city yesterday in the Marc by Marc bow flats (http://www.coolantarctica.com/images/827-184586-t.jpg) and I have terrible blisters today. I wore the flats twice before, but never had any problems, so now I'm stuck in miserable pain. You would figure that they'd be more comfortable than that with the price tag, so I think I need to look into getting a new pair of flats because I'm scared of wearing those damn things again. In your opinion, what are the most comfortable flats out there that require not much breaking in? TIA!

I have a pair of Marc Jacobs patent bow flats and they also cause blisters and pain. I only wear them with tights now.

i have N.Y.L.A. ballet flats in black (on my 2nd black pair now) and in gold. I find them comfy. And, they are on sale at amazon.com for $19! (retail over $50) I am a size 9, but wear a 9.5 in these, as the 9 is snug. For $19 you can give it a whirl, right. The style is called Dede.

I love them too! how did the shoes run size wise? I have to buy them via the phone (i live too far away to try them on in person). are you getting the satin or the leather? do you think it would be ok to wear the satin ones for "everyday"? Like with jeans and such?

sorry for the late reply. im a sz 6-6 1/2 and i tried on the 37. they were just the right size for me so i guess they run pretty true to size. i want to get the satin for my birthday. i'm hoping my bf would buy it for me:unsure: i'm sure the satin should be fine for everyday and i would most definitely wear them with jeans^_^

I have been looking for a place that carries these flats in the US..does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Philadelphia, but would like to find them anywhere.

thanks

i'm not sure where they might have it in philadelphia. but you can try ebay or satineboutique.com or luisaviaroma, they have some colors available. they retail for € 290.00 so that's about $350 something. hope that helps:flower:

Does anyone own pairs of either London Sole or Seychelles flats? I'm considering getting either one, but I want to make sure they're comfortable. After my terrible experience with my Marc Jacobs flats, I'm afraid to wear them again. So I'm looking for a more comfortable pair of flats that don't require much breaking in because I can't deal with my feet being covered in blisters again.

i absolutely adore these Lanvin flats. i tried them on at satine boutique last week and they were very comfortable. i was kind of sad walking out without them  i think i'm going to go back for them. i really like the yellow but it's a bit hard to wear. i think maybe black or brown.

What other colors do they carry at satine? Would love to get the purple one.

i got the cutest pair of suede flats from the gap. they're round toed and i got a pair in green from the gap outlet for $10... they're so comfy (required no breaking in!), if you have an outlet nearby, i strongly recommend them! :)

they look just like these, but green. i found this picture on ebay... you can probably find some in your size on there if you're interested.

Try looking for a pair of well made ballet flats that have that soft fabric (think leather lining) on the inside at the back of the foot. I have a pair of Chloe flats and they are so comfortable I never get blisters from them :flower:

Thanks for the advice! The pair of Marcs that I wore were velvet on the outisde and completely leather lined on the inside, and those suckers just killed my feet .

MJ flat gave me blisters too...after that i stay away from them. Chloe and Lanvin are the best...not only comfy but pretty too.

Is anybody else having trouble finding simple ballet flats in stores lately? I've been searching for a pair like these for over a month now. They don't seem to have them anywhere (and I can't buy online).

They were everywhere last year. :(

I just purchased my very first pair of ballet flats.... cream satin with silver trim by London Sole. Oh they are ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!! However..... with the shoes came a note saying they should be used for light wear only? Indoors and for parties and holidays. Now I am frightened to wear them out of the house.

my mom has them in the last color (from my sister's employee discount;) ) and she loves them. they go with a lot of different clothes

have any of you living in US ordered online from french sole? I ordered yesterday and today they're sending me an e-mail and it doesn't say that they have processed my order or are processing it but it tells me it is handled by some Jane Wwinkle or something like that, basically that they handle their orders going to the US, so now i'm not sure wether i have to contact that company or not, they gave me info to contact them but didn't say wether i should only do that if i have questions or if i should contact them in order to get the flats that i ordered. If anyone has dealt with this beofre please let me know, help appreciated TIA
