Jean Shrimpton, Michael Caine, and Black & White Memories by David Bailey: those were the touch points for Deborah Lloyd, Banana Republic’s executive vice president of product development and design, in designing her elegant fall collection, shown Monday at Milk Gallery. “It’s about clean,” Lloyd said following the well-received graphic collection based mostly on variations of black, white, and grey—but that ended with a series of eye-popping pieces in pink, blue, purple, red, and coral. Must-haves included the cashmere t-shirt dresses, not to mention a graphic white coat. This was a dressed up and, of course, wearable collection, as evidenced by a brown pony swing jacket and black herringbone fur collar coat that was right on point for the upcoming season. The city girl will be a sophisticated one this fall.

I like that bright green long sweater/tunic/dress, but we probably do need to see what it looks like in stores.

What I see here doesn't make me very excited, but I hope we will see more photos. I do like Banana Republic usually, they make classic pieces.

Thank you for posting :flower:

i like that houndstooth jacket.

if anyone knows where to find more piccies, please post:flower:

I like what I see so far...but I wonder if it will look this good once it gets to the stores as well.

That jacket is so My Chemical Romance ... gotta have it next fall once Banana Republic opens at The Pavilion KL this September!

i really like some of it. the jackets, hats, layering and shoes especially...

i actually think a lot of this looks quite dated. You wouldn't know if this came out last year or the year before. And i'm not a big fan of a layered styling either. It just looks bulky to me.
