Bette's Wedding
Exclusive report from the romantic wedding of model Bette Franke last weekend.
No lavish jetset wedding in hometown New York but a relaxed garden party on an estate in the heart of the Randstad Dutch top model Bette Franke (23) and her husband, economics teacher Ilja Cornelisz (32) last weekend in marriage occurred after an engagement of three years. "We celebrated our wedding on estate The Olmenhorst outside at long tables. Everybody could take its course, "said Bette on the phone from her apartment in New York City , where she enjoys with her new husband a break during fashion week.
The couple married Saturday, September 7th on a beautiful late summer day, in front of friends and family, including her agent Wilma Wakker and models girlfriends Romée Fight , Kim Noorda and Sophie Vlaming . "The seventh of September for our special day. I learned Ilja on that date in New York and know my grandparents were married on that day and all of 58 years very kind to each other. I am grateful that they could be there."
A wedding planner organized the wedding in six weeks, according to the basic needs of the couple. A radiant Bette gave the vows in a medium white skirt with transparent lace top, designed by her older sister Sanne Franke . "My wedding dress was beautiful, that my sister has made the dress makes it so special. Together we have designed the skirt and two tops." She wore white pumps from Maison Martin Margiela and chose a wedding ring from Tiffany & Co.. : gold inlaid with diamonds. Makeup artist Irena Ruben put the hair of the brunette with a casual braid. The wedding pictures were taken by fashion photographer with whom Bette much worked, Marc de Groot . Her best friend Simone and brother Kors witnessed the ceremony. Of the three wedding cakes after, a Dutch apple pie with pears marzipan, tasted the model no. "I do not care pie. But wait," Honey, they were tasty?"

The couple is back on American soil pressure at work and not at all concerned with a honeymoon. "Maybe we are about two months to a warm country with a beach where nothing we have to do, but we have planned nothing." New York continues to love torque the upcoming year home but Netherlands remains attractive: " Ilja has a year contract so in May we see further. Maybe we then move to the Netherlands. We do not want plans. A baby we want, but not here in New York ."
For now awaits the reality of the marathon shows in New York, Milan and Paris . yet not forty-eight hours after the vows was Bette Monday already at her first fitting in New York , ready for fashion week. "It's a big transition, but you get used quickly. Today I walk for Vera Wang and may I on the catwalk for Oscar de la Renta "Her outfits but do not make it to the wedding dress that it flew back to New York."
