Bettie Page

an old ad for a b.p. movie
from the book pin-ups by taschen
again...scanned by me

Bettie must have had a lot of fun in her life.
She seems like a girl with a good sense of humor. :flower:

saw the movie last night. it s basically just documenting the photoshoots. imo they could ve done a much better job if they focused on her personal life a bit more

Here are a couple I scanned from Bettie Page: Queen of Hearts by Jim Silke
Robert McGinnis was commissioned to do this for a book. But, as he worked on it, something stirred his creative juices. "I'd never drawn a girl like her before," he says, "and became curious." The result was the following oil painting.

i love pinup style and bettie was really pretty and unique

the burlesque/pinup revival is hot, although i'm more of a mod sex kitten girl i admire this look when done well, i dont like the girls who have lots of tattoos and trashy clothes or make the look too punk, rockabilly, or goth, but when the look is done in the classic style i love it

i've also become a fan of vintage lingerie thanks to bettie and other pinups, i'll take some nice hotpants or a corselette over thongs anyday
