black or off-black pantyhose

I got a dumb question. I just pick up this outfit, black skirt, red front button blouse with a matching black blazer. So it is some what business attire, but can be semi-casual without the blazer. I will be wearing this with a pair of plan 9west black pump (2-1/2"). I was wondering if I should be wearing black or off-black pantyhose? Which color is a better fit?

I think black sheer hose would be best. All black thick ones would be too funeral.

i think that a sheer blk can be very sexy...and are always great for evening...

if you want to take it down a notch and go for a more subtle look ...
you can opt for a sheer off-black for day...

thanks, so the general rule, wear sheer black hosiery for the evening. For day look, in the office, i can wear off-black to be a little bit more casual.

yes...i'd say that's accurate...but sheer black is always safe if you have a doubt...
just stay away from nude coloured hose......

No, I haven't introduce myself yet. Where do I go to do that? I do have couple more quick questions

1. Why did you say stand away from nude? Will suntan works with black shoe and black skirt?

2. Any brand of pantyhose can you recommend that stay put and have and uniform looks. What I mean is that some hose like Hanes, everthrough is sheer and look uniform, by lunch time, it is a little baggy around the knees (I am 5'9 150, and wear size c). I try Victoria secret, which is bit better. As far as uniform in color, some hosiery i try in the past, especially with black, i get some area with darker patches.

i am a fashion stylist...what do you do?...

1-i always suggest a buff colour or an off blk rather than 'suntan'...it's more stylish and more attractive...nothing too white or you will look like a nurse...but if you want a nude look then i suggest bare legs...

2-i suggest hanes semi-sheer...i don't know exactly what they call them these days...they change the names around...

ultra sheer usually has less lycra and that will cause the sagginess...so it's better for evenings...not good for all day long...
i also like victoria's secret...sounds like you have found the best brands for the price...

Isn't buff like a ivory color? By the way, what do you think of hosiery with open toe sandals?
