though i kind of wish they didn't...
:ninja:...

no offense to you scott!......

Bless is so fun! A lot of really crazy pieces that I have to see worn a different way. On the tame side you just know the scarf is a part of the jacket in the first mens shot.

I love BLESS. I have this awesome sweatshirt/cape that I got almost 10 years ago and it's still one of my favorite pieces.

none taken, softie! ;) the thing about bless is always the context of seeing the pieces individually. no the total looks aren't going to connect with everybody, though i think we can appreciate the spirit in which it's intended....very anti-fashion,pro-individual....but when you see everything apart everything looks really fantastic and well-made. and i think because so much of their ideals stem from an 'everyday' mundane kind of place it has this realism that resonates with me personally....but always re-imagined in a quirky clever way,of course.

No harm meant Scott and I'm glad you're able to see the ragtag-feel of these designs, but these clothes and the styling looks like a bunch of middle-aged arts-and-crafts teachers got together in an attempt to create recycled, sustainable clothing by piling on whatever old crap they had lying around their hippie-homes. Nice effort in the spirit of DIY is always appreciated, but no thanks from me.

I think the clothes show up much nicer in the presentation than in the lookbook. The knits and the prints looks incredible up close individually.

that's what i always find so fascinating about their work....as conceptual as it often comes across you see everything apart and up close, you realize how thoughtful they are as a fashion label and how high quality their work really is.

i love those tapestry pieces and their knitwear always looks so cozy and inviting....very much a homespun technique used in a more design function.

btw,i do think their work looks better when shown in that more natural, functional way.

I like this, thank you Scott for posting and those winter jackets are so cool, I would wear a one any day.

I really agree with this.
I think that's a big part of what makes their work so great, and different from other designers. Instead of feeling the push to buy a total look, each piece is so unique and special and thoughtful, and I've seen that people can form a real connection to a specific piece, and it gets incorporated into their wardrobe in a very personal way. To me their work is not really even best seen as a total collection--there isn't that act of contextualizing something, folding into a personal narrative.

Some very interesting pieces here, I'm always in the mood to see adventurous knits. Thanks for sharing!

you know it's very similar to the way margiela used to present a lot of his collections....it was a very relaxed environment....sometimes in unexpected venues like a cafe or something. for me that's the way i prefer seeing clothes because you see how they incorporate into daily life.....and the bless girls have very much taken that concept to new heights. often presenting their work on the streets or in bookshops, restaurants and even at other designer's shows...hehe
