I have to say, I would have trouble spending a great deal of money on some of this...you could very easily make it yourself...

Some of it reminds me of some Iosselliani pieces, like this:

from aloharag.com

I like the Iosselliani way better though

They look too trashy/clunky to be worn effectively, imo. I'd rather the references be abstracted and remodeled, rather than a Goodwill cut'n'paste job... aesthetically, it just doesn't work.

I agree with bart.

i could wear one or two pieces, wondering how much they cost.. Bless can be too expensive for what it is, but creatively, i find them non refined but still quite interesting

It's really quite brilliant how they combine something really organic, ornate and sophisticated with technology. It's kind of a contradiction of things of the past with what people consider as accessories at present.

To be honest,I don't really mind the trashy Goodwill aspect...maybe not so much the chunkiness of it but I enjoy how everything is put together. Btw,those more classical compositions....are those signatures for them now? I didn't realise they had done those kinds of pieces again. They did those some seasons ago.

bart, andrew,
thanks for your thoughts

However, I see one major difference between Iosselliani and Bless: Bless uses cables, wires, and other technological trappings (computer mice). That was pretty much the point of this collection of jewelry I think...to translate something normally ignored, hidden, rather ugly, into something poetic and/or worn as adornment.

Now, I think there are times when it is not very effective, but there are moments when it works quite well, like in the piece where all the wires are twisted together, practically unrecognizable.

Lena if you're in the US, to find out about prices, I would contact Opening Ceremony
