now seriously

i loved the collection. apart from those see-through pieces (too Gucci circa 96 - anyone remembers that collection?) i have to admit i would wear almost every single piece. the cuts, the design, everything is lovely.

i just never expected it from a Boudicca show. i would never take this for their presentation if it didn't have a name attached to it. first of all, they did it on a regular runway  with lighting   but the difference in the type of clothes is what surprised me the most, i wasn't expecting such ready-to-wear pieces, if you know what i mean. their work usually takes a little more time to understand and appreciate but this one is just in-your-face simple and elegant.

again, i loved it, i'm not complaining :D it just made me curious as to what direction they'll be leading next...

anyway, enough rambling  here's the pics. enjoy :D

Yes very nice... and I could see myself wearing a couple of those pieces.. Thanks for posting it Abril

When I saw it last night I didn't like it, but after reading your take on it, Abril, I do.

There are some nice pieces, and in a way it's nice to see the less complicated pieces from him. It's almost like he's not going to present something that he's not "feeling" just for the sake of consistency :? . People change, perhaps just want to experiment... even if just for one collection.

It's a little too gothy for me. I do like that red & black dress though.

Thanks for the review and pics. :D

:D

i think the skirts and a couple more pieces are the only thing that show some resemblance to their previous work. and altough i'm all for experimenting and trying new stuff, it just seems weird that they should go the other way around and present a more simple collection.

i dunno... it was more new york than london for me

edited to add - have you read the style review? :D they're drooling 8)

Ok... great that you guys liked the collection .. on a previous post I said I wanted to check them out badly! Like it very much and my mum fell in love with some pieces ... overall i do agree there's a change ... but it seems its just right!

absolutely..
There is a clear departure from their usual style, but me, I just hate this kind of lace (loved the thicker Gucci lace though )
All their non lace looks are great ..

as for "style" drooling over THIS Boudicca collection, what can i say?, these people as so late in catching up with new labels.
I've been a hard core B. fan from day one and to me it seems as if they allready had their 'fashion' day, some seasons ago, this collection is not as strong as their preview ones

It is a bit goth-y, for sure. But it is nice, still. I love the second plate, the oversized black sweater with the leather skirt? It was comfy-fitting without hiding the body's shape entirely. I could see that on a cold winter day, "girl going to the office in New York."

I agree w/ the popular consesus here. I love the look, just not the lace.
That second outfit is so very much my style

Function specific always leaves you properly dressed and not an inch overly or underly done! I am a sucker for a sure thing! I am so pleased and impressed with them! I couldn't go wrong!

lurvin' the Boudicca collection, much more so than the Gucci-goes-goth :ninja:

I really like the little bondage details here and there (noticed a lot of that in London and found it quite exciting)

I quite like it, I find the peices very wearable!

i agree with many others:

the GOTH GAL look isnt that great :yuk:
and whats up with that last lace dress with flower pot (??) around the hcest area??????

I quite love this collection! I think outfits that are easier on the eye is what you could classify as experiment for Boudicca :P
Let's see what the people who strongly disliked gothic think about it now, 2½ years later with neo-goth bubbling under the surface
