Of all the young labels out there, Boudicca is one of the most innovative and I was surprised to see no thread dedicated to them. I recently went to their newest collection during fashion week entitled Romantic Musem and it was incredible and the pictures, though beautiful, really do the collection no justice. The tailoring, the patterns, the fabrics, the shoes, the manner in which accessories were utilized and the accessories themselves (long evening gloves, short "cropped" driving gloves, wide belt worn around the waist with attached shoulders straps etc..); every facet of the collection was amazing and not once did you question the designers skill, talent or imagination.

Anyway, those of you who are also enamored with this label, discuss! And here are some brilliant looks from the collection:

Yeah,I don't think we've got a singular thread devoted to Boudicca and "all" their collections through the years...nice idea!

Will post some favourite collections, myself soon :flower:

Wow, I've never heard of it but I really like it :D :flower:

You can view the remaining two of their collections on their website (platform13.com), including much better, detailed pictures from the most recent show (doing it more justice than the British Vogue site's stock photos.)

oh my gosh! ive been searching for an official boudicca website forever now... i almost thought it went phantom!! thanks for the info~ :flower: and i agree boudicca needs their OWN thread... it is my absolute favorite brand today:heart:

yea, i like a lot of what Boudicca do...but only in their a/w collections...i love those pointed shoulder blades on the cropped jackets...cheers for the link bartholomew :)

Hey, Scott, if you have time and desire, maybe you could merge some Boudicca threads we have? Like the bunny thread, etc... :flower:

From what I've seen...Boudicca is one of those 'YES!' designers for me, I haven't disliked any of what I've seen, does anyone know the design philosophy behind the designs?

I never really got them. Their designs always seemed a bit too obvious and cheesy, like how in the 90's everything was "cyber" or in the 50's everything was "space" (space gun, space car, etc).

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I love how some of it's rather theatrical, but still wearable, and I love the dark aesthetic.

I agree that is very wearable. Perhaps that is what makes it good? That they can have these really obvious and avante garde themes but still have very easy to wear clothing at the end?

Yeah, regardless of if it's 'obvious' or 'cheesy' if someone wore it out on the street...in general public...I think it'd still look quite 'out there' without looking desperately attention seeking, or cheesy.

I agree,FFF. Although,I do see exactly where you're coming from Mutter with regards to their obvious presence(I've been a bit off-put by that before)but ultimately,it's their execution and precision that renders them such a brilliant design duo. Most creative designer's do work in subtle nuances, but there's something to be said for the way they design the clothes.
