I'm seeing this at Chanel, Eli Saab, Valentino.. so many shows and its pisssing me off somewhat because bows often look terribly cheap and uncreative.

They've been around and popular for too long now, so tired of them... ..they need to be done in a creative way to catch my attention... I'll try to find some pics.. But generally speaking, bows are not my thing....! Great thread though!

I love bows but they're no trend for me. I've always tied a trademark black bow onto my bag, or my hair, or my waist - it's just something I've always done. it also seems like bows had already been around the block once in the past two years...not sure how this qualifies as a fresh trend, but rather a continuing classic.

"It's a classic way to make a bold, feminine statement," decreed Oscar de la Renta, who showed a chic pantsuit paired with a sashed blouse luxe enough to confer instant promotion from the secretarial pool to the boardroom. At Phi, where rigor is usually the name of the game, decorative flourishes were a welcome surprise. "The bow looks great because it's flamboyant in contrast to the tailoring," said creative director Andreas Melbostad.

Understatement is a foreign language at Heatherette, where Richie Rich and Traver Rains channeled Scarlett O'Hara by adorning hoop skirts with gigantic graphic swags. Another designing duo, newcomers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, dressed up a strict cocktail ensemble with looped milliners ribbon. "They're a bit imperfect in shape," the sisters explained, "which allowed us to capture both the rigidity and ease of a Proustian school boy." Bow-tied bustiers at Giambattista Valli and Viktor & Rolf, meanwhile, provided a more sensual finishing touch.

I'm agreeing with Utopia, it seems like they are becoming some sort of a classic, no?
Well I'm not sick of them yet, anyway. Perhaps it's because no one here haven't been wearing them .
