thanks for starting this thread, runner. i have an archive of brassai images in my head, i just have to be careful not to turn them into postcards, too much.

he is responsible for a lot of early graffiti documentation that is said to have inspired antoni tapiès.

seemingly there aren't many big good graffiti images online.
speaking of inspiration even ziggy stardust or replicants might secretly have loved nocturnal happy sadness about those streetlights and darkness, wet roads, misty luminous bodies..

I'm far off here, but I'll say it anyways..and in my defense it has been a while since I saw the movie...but there is something in the way quiet a few of these pictures were shot that reminds me of how parts of Lemony Snicket's settings where shot albeit an extreme extraction / interpretation of these pictures
