Burberry S/S 2025 by Drew Vickers

I can categorically bet that these have NOTHING to do with Daniel Lee and its just clever marketing team TRYING to save whatever Kamikaze s**t show he created with the clothes business that is nosediving. They just HAPPEN To be wearing SOME runway pieces.

To me, their ads are exactly where Burberry should be positioned: an AMI, Tiffany-type of luxury brand for the upper middle class from which you want to purchase something to treat yourself. But then you look at the prices of the clothes and accessories, which are on the level of "unattainable" luxury brands like Bottega and Prada, and there is such a massive disconnect. They have to change their pricing strategy in order for this to work.
And the problem for Burberry is - those brands exist.

There are a hundred other companies to buy from, which sell this type of thing, companies which don't advertise in Vogue so they might not be on the radar of tfs, but which manage to combine decent materials, performance, design and price.

Within Britain, Burberry will always have that problem inherited from the "chav" era, where people were making it their own, despite whatever the image the company wanted to protect.

So when I see this campaign, I'm completely unconvinced. I feel that someone might wear Burberry if they're paid to, but if a person wanting this type of clothing has the choice, they'll probably buy from those other companies which have never suffered a dip in perception. and which also have the allure of not being as generic as Burberry.

I gotta say this is one of the best ads I’ve seen in a long time, particularly the videos. That’s exactly what Burberry is and should be!

I am fan of Daniel’s work here. The clothes are good, they were just doing a terrible job with brand positioning. Seems like they’re starting to get that right.

Feels like a ELLE Special... Very poor concept-wise. Those shoe shots are hideous.

I hope they're brainstorming already because the whole UK cliché is going to get tiring really fast.

A lovely ad campaign. I like the casting. The shot of the elderly man holding the umbrella for his dog is adorable.
