Some nice looks in the collection, but overshadowed for me by the depressing presentation.

Gloomy lighting, muted soundtrack and joyless models made me think more of a sad, grey seaside town than a chic summer festival lineup.

A physical manifestation of Lee's feelings towards Burberry perhaps?

Technically, Lee’s contract ends this year.
He joined Burberry in September 2022…

Yes it is fabulous, it got my eyes on the livestream.
Nevertheless I will never get used to Daniel Lee's colour palettes, starting from his Bottega green, and this collection is no exception, in my mind he comes out with the worst colours every season.

Also, Burberry needs to leave the co-ed shows in the past, not only to move merchandise faster, but having Daniel showing only twice a year limits the brands repositionning.
With 4 shows a year, two mens and two womens, we would have a more defined sense of the direction the brand is going and also more rythm. A brand this size can't have creative updates every 6 months only.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Daniel Lee compared to others, but it feels odd to have him on this project. The fit seems mismatched and, honestly, a waste for both sides.

Paying Daniel Lee to deliver this direction feels like a misuse of resources when there are others who could execute it better, while his talent feels underutilized given the new CEO’s brief

I don't think he is actively sabotaging his own work - we have example of strong previous season. It is Schulmann who is running the house completely bypassing Lee's output. He might just decide to check out, after all he joined company on October 9th 2022 so it leads me to believe this was his last show. I hope he will go somewhere welcoming and supporting his talent and abilities!

I’m only buying his stuff on Outlets from now. I did not recover from seeing pieces that I bought from his first 2 shows at 80%-90% less than a year after he took over!

with burberry outlet is the way to go! not sure actually but it was a pair of green creeper with wires. Im hunting down the duck trousers that i hated

I think I forgot to write a review for this mess but I really REALLY hated this pseudo-boho, festival look he tried to do this season, totally forced and unlike him. Like seeing a fish bark.

You can tell he yearns for greener pastures.
