I partially agree with these because, even though I never imagined Daria as a minimal chic portrayer of Céline, I do attribute Daria with that description. Naturally beautiful and effortless cool. I'm kind of bummed by the fact that Daria's sense of maturity - who could've save this fiasco by aiming the already mature Céline clientele - is not palpable here...I disagree with some of you. I think Daria is the perfect Celine girl -- cool, effortless, classic. It's just the way that the ad is shot makes it seem kind of awkward. But, I read an interview Phoebe gave about her first ad and she said she wanted to make it really about the clothes and the accessories and didn't want to take away from the collection by overdoing it with makeup, etc. Anyways I completely love it and I'm glad Daria got the campaign.
Even Daria can't save this. I just don't understand Juergen Teller's appeal, especially for Céline.
