Calvin Klein Collection S/S 2015

Vanessa isn't the problem here, she has proved that she can excel with CK but with the right photographer. When the M&M/Vanessa campaigns happened, they were magical.

Get rid of David sims, he is the ultimate boring creator in the industry. They should bring Fabian Barron back, miss his work.

Yes!! And let him take Vanessa with. The detail of this collection clearly called for a more dynamic girl, Suvi immediately comes to mind.

New model please
This is bland & boring

Vanessa is not a memorable Calvin Klein model at all

I found it interesting that a year ago everybody thought Vanessa was the perfect ck model, and she even won "model of the year" title at 2013. But now, people came here and complained about everything on her.

I think that when Vanessa first fronted the CKC campaign She was THE new face The muse of Misel and did a great job with Prada. She looks absolutely outstanding on the RUNWAY of CKC and people were tired of Lara seasons after seasons.
I didn't get the hype that her first campaign since I thought she basically just had one face for that campaign and I was not convinced.
Season after seasons Vanessa's Calvin Klein, I just believe that The Main Face of major brand with multiple lines is just too early for her. She is not ready as her modeling skills and understanding of producing different emotions are not there yet, and she can't use these opportunities as a practice since there are a lot of girl with great skills waiting for breakout moment at their somehow stuck career.
Considering Lara, Natalia, Kate all are great CK women. They gave CK more than sophistication. Dangerous sexiness that Lara constantly giving, purity of Lolita that Natalia gave, and decadent edgy that Kate gave. And that are not all they can do. What does Vanessa bring? Freshness, that is all, all new models can bring freshness to a brand. Let her mature, and give her time to let the industry to text her ability Then
perhaps she will do it right.

i dont think Vanessa is the issue. She has proven that she CAN model and create an excellent story. its this stale direction they are going with for the campaign. You could have Christy, Lara, Natalia, or any previous Calvin girl and this would still be boring.

Vanessa looks beautiful, but im bored from these images.

I echo all of you who say that Vanessa isn't the problem here. David Sims does nothing special for CK at all. He doesn't have a single memorable campaign with the brand, unlike M&M and Baron. That being said, I'm ready for Vanessa to get out of this "exclusive" world she's in & do more work. CK made Lara a star, but same isn't happening for Vanessa. She'd book a lot more work without the contract.

Perhaps the most weakest CK campaigns I've seen in a while. Looking at all of it on one page makes it even more evident. These are glorified catalogue shots. Not even Edita can save this. For Chrissake, get rid of Sims and Vanessa.

Totally agree. I don't get why people are picking on her. A model can only do so much when the concept of the photos is standing still. I love Sims' work but what he did here so far is really boring, if they wanna go to the minimalism route I wish they would get Karim Sadli.

Whenever she does try to emote more, it looks awful. Platinum label is the proof.

The exclusivity works well for girls like Lara because they made her even more desirable than she already was. I'm afraid it doesn't work for Vanessa. After two exclusive Prada seasons and four exclusive Calvin Klein seasons, I doubt the people that wanted to book her but couldn't because of her contracts are still willing to book her now, simply because she isn't new or fresh anymore. She hardly does editorial work and hardly walks shows.

^ Agreed.

Vanessa is definitly the main issue for me. Sure, this campaign is less excited as many others but Vanessa is given me nothing.

Her first two campaigns were perfect, like her second Prada and Massimo campaign. They were elegant, classy campaigns and she looked beautiful, no attitude or sex appeal but that's was fine after 4 seasons Lara. She nailed those campaigns. But those were different then Sims work.

This campaign, like her first Prada campaign ask for a model that can produce a strong image, some attitude. Seems to me she can't pull that off. There is no sex appeal she can throw in, nothing. No wonder after one season jeans M&M went straight back to Lara.
Suvi, Lara, Anna, Julia B would all give us more. I'm not saying that the campaign would be perfect or exciting with them but at the least the model can stand on their own.
But that's how I feel. Nothing against Vanessa.

Maybe the combination Sims and Vanessa doesn't work. It's time for a new model. Sims doesn't need to go, I loved his images with Jac few seasons ago.

ETA: Josh Ollins story with Doutzen Kroes for WSJ would have been a gorgeous Calvin Klein campaign.

Edita's images are the best, I guess. Overall not a campaign to remember.

I actually really like this, especially those abstract beach compositions. Pleasantly surprised...
