Camilla Åkrans - Photographer

I think things like this lose its substance when repeated over and over again. And, if you peruse this thread, you will see a consistent redundancy and I don't find that very inspiring. It's not the repetitiveness that's the main problem, but that the work doesn't really seem to have reason or really be about something- it's mostly about romanticism, style and being edgy.

But that's just my personal take on it. ;)

^ i can't but agree. i really adored her work but now i feel like i have already seen everything Camilla can come up with. well, she is a guru of lighting, colors, romantic atmosphere but i would like her to play with locations. She has done this canyon/ desert theme million times. And how many editorials with Anja does she have by now? 100?

on the other hand, that is what she is paid for. If someone wants that romantic editorial in sun rays they will definitely call Camilla. The same way if you want anything too tacky you will choose terry.

Couldn't agree more!

AUUGH that last edit is so gorgeous, i love how much Edita and Camilla are working together lately

nice thread!

well, I had a great time browsing every page of this thread, backwards.
I was starting to be more familiar with Camilla's name on TFS and wanted to know more about her work.
Seeing these made me realise she could have been the one who shot the stunning SPRING/SUMMER 2010 LA PERLA with GUINEVERE . I have never been able to credit this wonderful catalog/campaign and the beauty of the shots equals some of her editorials seen here...
If only someone could confirm my hunch.......anyway, well done girl.
PS: Has she ever shot Kate Moss?
