Facial brushes!
Just use one when washing your face; apply some cleanser and gently scrub. It stimulates the blood circulation, exfoliates the skin and leaves it really soft and glowing.

Drink orange and carrot juices. I have been doing that for a while now, just a glass per day of freshly squeezed orange juice, and my skin has been geting some color. And by the way, don't take this bad, but on the weekends you stop drinking 2 liters of water and everything else? Again don't take it bad, it's just something that made me laugh. I know taking care of skin can be a tough job, but I don't think you have stick to business days...:P

stay away from the sugar...

I used to get sort of spots under the skin that never seemed to go away or come up properly and my beautician said it was because I wan't removing make up properley! Now after I wash my face on a night I use dermalogica daily microfoliant and that must clean me fully because I am a lot smoother.

i use Vichy Normaderm as well as the lotion that comes with it
and also Roc exfoliant and St Ives or Jason's Super-C as a cleanser
my skin is smooth but it still looks tired... like the complexion is uneven and the skin still looks rough, although feels smooth

I have the same problem, my skin looks so dull :(
Sorry, I'm not much of a help.

Take some omega 3.6 and 9 fish oil tablets they really work wonders for your skin

Chanel has a product line that deals with your problem
It is called Systeme Eclat and it consists of many products (cleanser,toner,scrub,mask,serum...)I tried only scrub and mask-and I liked it very much!!
I know that many brands have product ranges that help to fight dullness&tired-looking skin ,but i tried only Chanel.

Vichy has a cream Oligo 25-it's quite cheap
The Body Shop has product range with vitamin C-it's also good for tired-looking skin (but I guess that this line is for older ppl,not sure though)
OH!!I forgot to tell you that I've also used a cream by a french brand Lierac,it was called AQUA-D+!!It made miracles to my dull&very tired-looking skin!!!!!!!!!!It became radiant and healthy looking though during that period I was stressed much and had lack of sleep!! And though I didn't like the way it smelled... still,I reccomend this product,it is really great (they also have it as a tinted moisturizer).

Good luck

you know what...
it's summer now...
i noticed my skin is darker and more 'colourful' than usual
it actually doesn't look tired anymore

Angelfacex, perhaps you’ve sorted your problem already. However, I’d just like to share the love regarding Chanel’s Systeme Eclat, and also Clinique’s Total Turnaround Mask.

Systeme Eclat’s mask is unusual in one respect: It illuminates, but without replying on giving the skin a pink undertone. Estee Lauder’s Spotlight, Prescriptives version, and many other skin illuminators do a great job, but they create a pink glow that those with red spots may not appreciate. Instead, System Eclat casts a golden, peachy glow that is sympathetic to most skin tones.

The other products in Chanel’s range are great, too. As miuminne pointed out, they do a full range of brightening, glow-giving products. You’d just as well get all of your products working for you, including your cleanser!

Clinique’s Total Turnaround Mask is another super product. Any chance you get to rid your skin of the dead, flaky, upper-layer of skin – take it! It’s basically an exfoliating product, and a strong one at that. If you don’t fancy adding another step to your regimen, consider replacing one of your existing steps with an exfoliating product: Chanel do some great exfoliating facial washes, Clinique do some great exfoliating toners, the list goes on.

Having mentioned Estee Lauder’s Spotlight, it may be worth trying for yourself the next time you swing by a department store. It gives a wholesome glow in an instant, and better, it contains ingredients that will smooth and perfect over time.

I read this and I was like...woah I don't remember making this post. Oh wait.

I haven't really figured out anything yet...although I want to try a glycolic peel

Witchhazel soaked around your eyes and some on the rest of your face wakens up your skin. Vitamin E and eating your veggies(esp. colorful ones like red) are good also, not to mention fats in nuts.
