- fashionweekdaily.comGlamourinas were warned to arrive on time for Carlo Dimichelis'—or else. The popular Mexican designer may have dropped out of LA Fashion Week, but in Mexico City, he's still the wait-in-line equivalent of Marc, without the mystery. Carlo himself strolled the front row, greeting guests with his wife Flo before the show began. Highlights included a slew of high waisted trenches in llama skin and/or worsted wool, a flouncy black evening gown made entirely of crinkled chiffon strips, and the giggly presence of Ana Christina Fox, daughter of Mexico's president. The collection had a Donna Karan vibe of functional sleekness, and Louboutin round-toe pumps or boots for every look. "It's classy but never boring, and everything he does has a mix-match element to it," said Spot's fashion director, Aldo Rendon. "And in Europe, Latin America, and the US—his clothes work in every country."
