I have a doubt that quite honestly, it's been eating me alive for a while.
Carmen's fans or anyone into the modeling topic knows that at the end of the 90's and beginning of the year 2000, Kass was together with Gisele Bündchen, the favorite models of Anna Wintour. She had 4 covers for Vogue USA (a true record), tons of editorials and even rewarded with the VH1 Fashion Award as Model of the Year, above others "american girls" such as Angela Lindvall or Frankie Ryder, however after this year we saw less of Carmen in such magazine. It's true that Anna replaced the models for celebrities in the cover but is so weird to me how she "cutted" Carmen in such an abrupt way.

Does anyone know if the two had any sort of problems?

when was her last editorial for US Vogue? was it really that long ago? seems odd, to me. i agree with you, Rado, she has accomplished so much that it doesn't matter if she does US Vogue or not. but, i don't think it's simply because Anna likes new girls. she consistently features editorials with some of Carmen's peers (Liya, Gisele, Angela, etc).

I agree with the fact that Anna Wintour sometimes gets infatuaded with young or "it" models, nonetheless she keeps counting on with veterans like Gisele (a celebrity), Angella Lindvall, Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova or Isabelli Fontana just to mention a few. Personally, Carmen is the greatest model of her generation and one of the best in history and whatever reason she's not appearing on Vogue USA what I feel for her is endless admiration. Rado, I'm so jealous (in a good way); to be in front of Carmen and be able to talk to her must be a dream.

By the way, I saw a few day ago on FTV the Jean Paul Gaultier show (Fall/Winter 2001), there's Malgosia Bela, Natalia Semanova, Gisele Bündchen, Esther Cañadas and of course our Carmen, in the show they all appear smoking and walking above a runway filled with cigars. Carmen is a star, with a very blonde hair and smoking in a very natural and misterious way. Did anyone see it or remember this show? She's a goddess.

^ well, I don't think people should blame her. the concept is still the same, even with karmen pedaru. in my opinion, carmen is perfect for mk since the early 00's, when the campaigns used to be shot by fabien baron.
she might have big chances to be back. tanya has already replaced her for a season and then she returned. the same thing happened to erin wasson, but she did more seasons.
