In the define a supermodel thread, someone named 5 girls as the ONLY SUPERMODELS EVER. They didn't include the likes of Carol Alt, Beverly Johnson, Janice Dickinson, Iman, Anna Bayle, among others.

It's debateable ... but the Top 5 are seen as the main figures, while they and their contemporaries defined an era (so you may see some others from the 80s-90s called supers as well), and also those from the 70s-early 80s that set the prototype but were a little early for such a reputation (Janice, Iman, etc)

You've never heard of Carol Alt? I think she's absolutely beautiful! She's been in the modelling business for years and has done tonnes of movies throughout her career but now is unfortunately sometimes better known as the wife of NHL player Alexei Yashin.
