Brazilian models are the country’s most popular fashion export, and, aside from Gisele, who is probably busy basking in post-engagement bliss, many of the best-known names are in full glamorous effect on the runways here at Fashion Rio. Familiar faces Isabeli Fontana, Viviane Orth, Bruna Tenorio, and a bleached-blonde Ana Claudia Michels (in comeback mode after walking last season at Givenchy) all walked for Rio grande dame Mara Mac’s show. But the real news on this catwalker-dotted landscape is fresh face Carolina Thaler, who has been everywhere this week. If model scouts have any sense, she should be promptly shipped off to New York for castings next month—she’s guaranteed to be the next big Brazilian thing.

originally i was thinking Gracie, but she already has an agency (Marilyn) and isn't really a mystery, and plus she is in Brazil right now so...

Or possibly Stefani Medeiros.. she is nowhere to be seen, although she already has an agency (women) so probably not her

Carolina & Lais were the two most prominent brand new faces I think in Rio (Lais is in SPFW though)

E do Hemisfério Norte vem a recomendação: ela é a "next big Brazilian thing", segundo o style.com.

Jeitinho de garota, olhos felinos, e ao mesmo tempo super à vontade para quem acaba de estrear, Carol falou com a RG enquanto provava um dos dois looks que desfilou hoje para Marcia Ganem. Aliás, esse completa o número 13. Ou 14, ela não lembra direito. "Acabei de começar, e já participei quase todos os desfiles", conta a neotop, de tabela na mão, tentando recordar todos os que fez. "Estou amando fazer passarela, eu fiz muito poucas fotos até hoje."

Saindo daqui, São Paulo – para onde ela acaba de se mudar. E mais uma batelada de desfiles – entre eles, Osklen, Huis Clos, Reinaldo Lourenço, Maria Bonita, Glória Coelho, 2nd Floor… e ela ainda não sabe o resto.

Neste domingo, a garota decide seu destino mais uma vez, em reunião com a Ford e seu pai que deve acertar sua ida para a Semana de Moda de Nova York, nos dias 13 a 20 de fevereiro. "Estou super ansiosa, vai ser o máximo. E acho que Nova York tem mais a ver comigo que Europa." É só o começo.

São Paulo fashion week is known for it’s Brazilian star power but this season one girl outshined them all. Our friends at Made in Brazil, chime in on the girl of the moment.

16-year-old Carolina Thaller is certainly the girl with the most buzz in São Paulo this season. The newcomer from Lajes, Santa Catarina, ranked in the top 5 at Ford Supermodel Brazil last year, and booked 15 shows last week in Rio. By the time Sao Paulo Fashion Week is over on Friday, she will have walked another 13 shows.

Already on the list of every Brazilian casting director, I would not be surprised if she ends up in New York for fashion week.
