Caroline told me yesterday she was the last person photographed by Irving Penn.

She was quite sad he passed away, and said (to spfw "I've had the happiness of learning with this genius who was and always will be Mr Penn. Unforgettable moments in that quiet studio on 5th Avenue. What luck, what an honor to have been photographed by his lenses."

I thought it was very sweet.
