Since its basically a men's magazine, I dont think it matters whos on the cover and what she looks like...she's in a bikini and so are the models inside. Men are not going to think about whether or not the model on the cover deserved to be.

Exactly.....^^^^^ and Men are not familiar with Ms Murphy's early body of work. Her cover is a show-stopper. I believe it's one of the best cover of SI. Carolyn nail the part of a Blond Bombshell, nice breast.....

jessica van der steen looks very pretty in her candids,especially in the
'photo booth' pictures from the SI mag. I think she is second only to Ana Beatriz, who I agree, has the perfect face. But in those shots of her above at the SI Party, she took some bad pictures...her face looks gaunt and eyes hollow.

Can i just say that i never had an opinion of Carolyn until i spoke to her... i must say she is really down to earth and nice... she prefers to be at home with her daughter than out at parties... she is beautiful inside

SI 2005-yuckiest in a long time

Have you guys seen the 2005 SI? My god I was so grossed out by the issue. Nothing new, seemingly "low budget" and most of all seems like a swimsuit shoot rather than an annual deal. It was sad how a lot of the models in the issue either look tired or just in need of some skin supplies as well. It lacked the usual amount of pages and too many unknowns in the issue as well. Anyways hopefully "06" will not continue on like this. However I really like the cover!

Regardless of how lowbrow that cover is (it certainly isn't one of Carolyn's best shots of her career), think its great that a "real" high fashion model finally got it this year after many years of not.

Yes, Carolyn isn't at the top of her career after coming back from that long Costa Rican "vacation" , but its still great.

Next year on the cover:
Carolyn again, but in a better, classier pose & outfit?
Angela? (if she returns to SI)
Isabeli? (also if she returns to SI)
Frankie?
Ana BB? (she unfortunately has not had as much high fashion success as the above, but I still love her look)
Or for the ultimate cover: Elise? (as long as it doesn't turn designers, high fashion photogs & editors against her)

you seem not to have noticed that am a man and you are a woman (not to sound sexist) but theres a difference between gwyneth paltrow and angelina jolie both in a bikini on a magazine cover if you get what am saying.
just look at the male perspective int hes thread and you ll know what am talkin about
