roppal you are here, welcome again! I was missing your posts^_^

ok... I'm tottaly agree with you girls, I see your points and I understand them, and you'r right in that I love Incubus and Brandon and maybe thats whay sometimes I see the things from Brandon's side... But is just that I don't understand why she said that is hard to find good man knowing that when she was with Brandon she always said that "it was all just so perfect" ,that she wanna be with Brandon forever and saying the good that he was, and like roppal222 said Brandon was probably the love of her life... so I don't understand why she said something like that on the Elle interview, she says one thing and then other... please try to understand my point^^
The again, father figure isn't the same as responsabilty as parent, unless he adopts her or be in a steady relationship which isn't the case as they broke up. If they did, it means it wasn't so perfect, besides 4 years is nothing. And even if you have a point, you don't know them nor the reasons of their breakup so try to understand them too, if she said so then it's that way. There are many possibilities and even what seem as a perfect and beautiful relationship may fade in a snap.

And well....why no one ever reported the sex-tape thread in first place. I already reported the other message as well...I mean...the quoted source (the superficial) had it too but has removed it.

as far as i know Brandon couldn't adopt Dylan because they weren't married, Brandon is the kind of person that don't like marriege (what doesn't means that he doesn't loved Carolyn or his other girlfriends), secondly as far as I know Brandon still see Dylan.

Thank you Hiddengrace & MakeupJunkie- karma for you both- this is a style thread and not the appropriate forum whatsoever for sex/p*rn links.

Then it means they are still friends. At guessing - if Brandon doesn't like compromise it's easy to tell since he is more of an independent type born in the sign of Aquarius while Carolyn is of a strong character - a Leo. Conmitment is such an issue at times so living together and such was sort of an advance. I think the article was more refered to the ex-husband. You can adopt children if you are single, look how many kids Angelina Jolie has adopted (ok only 2) and now Brad Pitt has adopted them too and they aren't married yet.

Orchide---thanks for the karma! Now I can say that the site from where I got the links was from the forum at IMBD (yes, the international movie database) and I reported the thread last night and it's now removed. I suggest everyone do the same if you find links.

well... all of us have different opinions, and I think thats good.=)

And talking about Brandon, Carolyn and Dylan, this is a Rolling Stone article about Incubus, where Brandon mentions Dylan, I will post just that part, I love the article...

Sweet Demons
Despite their name, Incubus are nice boys, unless you happen to be George W. Bush
By Rob Sheffield

...Boyd is a family man himself these days. For the new album, he wrote the big-hearted love ballad "Southern Girl" for the real Southern girl in his life, his girlfriend, Carolyn, who keeps calling his cell to ask for directions to tonight's show. "She's from the Florida panhandle," he says proudly. "She calls it the Redneck Riviera." I start to mention that I once heard the supermodel Carolyn Murphy make the same joke on Fashion Television -- and then I shut up, wondering if it's the same Carolyn. Of course it is.
Murphy makes a big entrance backstage, looking more like a cheerful suburban soccer mom than a pampered glamazon, carrying daughter Dylan, a blond angel of three. Dylan comes from Murphy's previous marriage, but she calls Brandon "Daddy." The first thing Dylan says upon arriving backstage is "I'm gonna lick you!" Then she puts a purple cone-shaped party hat on Brandon's head and licks his jacket with a mouthful of crackers. Boyd doesn't mind getting baby slobber all over his jacket, even though he's wearing it onstage in a few minutes. "Dylan's really changed my life," he says. "She's such a girly-girl. She even wants to sleep in heels. I grew up with two brothers, so it's all new to me."
"Dylan's got crushes on the other boys in the band," Murphy says with a sigh. "I guess that starts early." Her biggest crush is obviously Pasillas, who bends to kiss her and then pulls away, to her delight. More family crowds around the tiny backstage area. I get introduced to step-parents, siblings, girlfriend's boss's daugters. Boyd's mother, Dolly, an effervescent lady who could be an old- fashioned movie star, has brought presents for Dylan, including a pink Cinderella storybook. As the only band parent with anything like a grandchild in the room, she gets a few envious looks from the others. Dolly says, "I feel a little nostalgic when the boys go on tour. I feel like, 'Why not just sever one of my arms and take it away for a year?' "
For Boyd, family values are part of the inspiration behind the anti-war anger of "Megalomaniac." "Anger can be spiritual," he says. "The anger in this song is definitely spiritual. The message is simple: We've tried killing each other for years and years. It's been tried. It doesn't work. It has to stop."

Oh yes! I remember but since it was uploaded at youtube about 3 days ago, I could download it and pass the links for post it on your website/blog because you can't download them at UGO.

I do se it from you viewpoint Kritoo, many times I've read an interview with Carolyn and hoped she may have mentioned something about Brandon - but if she doesn't, it's no big deal. I couldn't agree more with hiddengrace who's articulated perfectly on why Carolyn feeling she's been a single mum is a fair point. Brandon was part of her life for 4 years, but Carolyn gave birth and raised Dylan pretty much solo for most of her life......so good for her, she shouldn't have to credit that responsibilty to a boyfriend.

I was talking to a friend at BMG promotions who hinted that 'a lack of committment led to Incubus' singers' relationship breakdown'.....so if Carolyn's not wanting to talk about Brandon she may have a good reason for it. I think many people are guilty of imagining them as the perfect couple and in our heads, it was a fairytale romance, and we can't comprehend why they broke up....But the fact is they did break up and we only know a tiny fraction of their lives, we know nothing of what goes on behind the scenes.

Carolyn's life is her daughter - when she says she's found no good man yet - she's thinking of not only a committment to herself but her daughter too. A refusal to marry her and adopt her daughter may amount to what Carolyn perceives as a 'no good man'.

Someone in that relationship let the other one down, and it may have been Brandon, which is a bitter pill to swallow for his fans.

Also want to add, thanks to all of you for the consistently amazing pics you post up of Carolyn. This thread would be dead without kritoo, mapi and hiddengrace.. :flower:

For Brandon Fans

There seems to be no thread on the forum for Incubus...but I know some of us here are fans o the boys....

Thanks for your opinions in the forum roppal222! I think it's good when everyone is around with original contributions to the threads, I guess that others are more organized because of more tools such as post their own scans or HQ photos. I try to do my best but I must admit that sometimes I have been living in this thread if you know what I mean. And considering that I just like Carolyn because of her looks and knowing just some personal basic facts, I think it's quite a lot. I'm just so obsessed with the EL ads.

Anyways, people mention Incbus quite a lot over here (or Brandon Boyd for that matter) and since the song Southern Girl came out as a good fact, I decided to download it (I haven't listened the latest Incubus album) and share it in case anyone might be curious about it - I haven't listened to it yet, so...okay here's the link - Note: after you copy or click on the link, change xx for tt. Oh sure I like Incbus but well...they need to release more singles or something, I mean....music sucks nowadays and everyone saw them as something different and exciting to check out through the years.

The latest Incubus album is "A crow left of the murder" (great album:flower:) and it was release on february of 2004, that's why there is not new singles, actually Incubus doesn't like to hit with many songs in the radio or the television they like more touring for the music live.(btw the new Incubus album comes on october 2006... I'm so happy:woot:)

Southern Girl is a beautiful song (independent that was wrote for Carolyn^^), but thats not the only song that Brandon wrote for her, also for the same album, he wrote "Here in my room" and for the record that cames with the DVD ("Alive at Red Rocks") he wrote "Monuments and Melodies"... If you have the opportunity to listen them, do it, they are beautiful songs.

here are the lyrics.:flower:

Here in my room.

This party is old and uninviting
Participants all in black and white.
You enter in full blown technicolor
Nothing is the same after tonight.

If the world were to fall apart
In a fiction-worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing now that you're here
Love is a verb
here in my room.
Yes, love is a verb
here in my room.

You enter and close the door behind you
Now show me the world as seen from the stars.
If only the lights would dim a little,
I'm weary of eyes upon my scars

If the world were to fall apart
In a fiction-worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing now that you're here
Love is a verb
here in my room
Yes, love is a verb
here in my room.

Pink tractorbeam into your incision
Head spinning as free as Dervishs' whirl
I came here expecting next to nothing
So thank you for being "that" kind of girl.

Monuments and Melodies.

My hands are trembling
And my eyes are on fire
This house is crumbling
Left brain, left out, on the wire

You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph

My past is perilous
But each scar I bear sings
Monuments to where I have been
And melodies to where I am going

You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph

When will I see you again?
Still-life can only go so far
I need you in front of me
Saying my name
Saying to me...
"I want you the way you are
You, the way you are"

You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph
You make me happy

Sothern Girl

Is everything a baited hook?
And are there locks on all doors?
If you're looking for an open book,
Look no further, I am yours.
We'll behave like animals, swing from tree to tree
We can do anything that turns you up
and sets you free.

You're an exception to the rule
You're a bonafide rarity.
You're all I ever wanted; southern girl,
could you want me?

So come outside and walk with me
We'll try each other on, see if we fit
And with our roots become a tree
To shade what we make under it.
We'll behave like animals, swing from tree to tree.
We can do anything that turns you up
and sets you free.

You're an exception to the rule
You're a bonafide rarity
You're all I ever wanted; southern girl,
could you want me?

:flower:

btw I don't understand "a lack of committment led to Incubus' singers' relationship breakdown"...what it means that?
