Carven S/S 2026 Paris | the Fashion Spot

Carven S/S 2026 Paris

Not bad but I guess it's missing some spice... I felt like I've seen this collection a few times this season.

In the continuity of what Louise did but I will dare to say it: much better?
He removed all the Phoebe-ism and the volumes are much more balanced.
For me, brands like Carven, Patou and Kenzo should stand out because of their pricing but also with a strong fashion proposition.

But the CD needs to push the buttons of creativity to exist. Showing in Paris is not enough.

It's not a bad collection. Maybe it's not the most exciting one, but it's in tune with what Trotter had been doing at the brand, just less oversized and more believable as an everyday proposition. I don't know, I think he could do well there.

Could have done with some shots of persimmon, tomato red and even a marigold or something to add some life. The lack of colour in the clothes with the setting as a backdrop really amp up a visual blandness.

It’s still not a bad collection. A little The Row with some Consuela Marni in there, shame it just lacks the colour. Can see things working well down the line though as it is a good baseline start off for a collection.

It was safe guys. Many houses are not doing experimental to hold on to the customers they have.
Now is not the time to take risks. And honestly, it's Carven, it's almost like an incubator of a label to attract young talent to give them a launching pad at this point. I liked the collection, but am honestly not as familiar with Carven code's to know what's being upheld or brought forward as far as new concepts. It's cute though. I'm guessing they only did cookbook.
