While our girls back home are strutting their stuff on the runway at the Brisbane MBFF, Casey Hinschen is on the other side of the globe getting ready for New York Fashion Week castings... busy little things!
Before Casey takes on NY she took 5 minutes out with us.
How were you first discovered as a model?
I won the 'International Winner' for Tamblyns Young Model Discovery in 2009
How is it being back over in NY?
I love New York, the weather right now is amazing! And the people and the fashion is so cool.
What is an average day over there for you?
Hopefully I'll be running around everywhere doing fashion parades for famous designers!
What are you travel essentials while you work?
I always have to bring my laptop, and also a good pair of walking shoes.
What would we catch you wearing around the streets of NY in between jobs?
Most of the time I will be wearing tights or black jeans with either a white or black singlet or top.
What trends are you loving this season?
I'm really into the whole bright cream colours and also the floral prints that are coming out.
What is one of your most memorable jobs?
When I was here last time there were two things that stood out, I got to do a trial for American Vogue where I stood there and tried on clothes for them. Then there was a Calvin Klein shoot where I had to take polaroid picture for them which was cool!
And what is your favourite and least favourite thing about modelling?
I love taking pictures and getting my hair and make up done. My least favourite thing about modelling would be the long days and all the running around.
